St Atanazio Catholic Parish priest, Fr Mark Mwanza, urged parishioners who had undergone church reconciliation to continue embracing forgiveness, peace and unity as they strengthen their relationship with God and fellow believers.
Fr Mwanza said reconciliation should be understood as a continuous journey of healing and restoration that enables Christians to rebuild broken relationships and create a stronger bond within the Church.
“Reconciliation is not just an event, but a journey that brings healing, restores hope and allows believers to live together in love and harmony,” Fr Mwanza said.
He encouraged members of the Chiyanjano and Ulimbitso groups to remain committed to their spiritual responsibilities and continue serving as ambassadors of peace, hope and compassion within the parish and the wider community.
The parish priest commended the groups for their dedication and active participation in Church activities, saying their involvement demonstrates the important role of the laity in spreading the Gospel and supporting the mission of the Church.
He further encouraged the groups to continue reaching out to fellow parishioners, strengthening fellowship and ensuring that the Church remains a place of love, acceptance and spiritual growth.
The Chiyanjano and Ulimbitso gathering served as a powerful reminder that faith becomes stronger when believers walk together in unity, guided by prayer, service and a shared commitment to building a peaceful and compassionate Christian community.
Through their continued dedication, the two groups are expected to remain a source of spiritual encouragement, promoting harmony and strengthening the bonds of fellowship among parishioners.
