- The communication with God & man
- Prayer is so important, it is the life blood of a Christian

1.) Challenging times come to all men
- Challenging times will come and we will ask ourselves “why me?”
- The advantage of prayer is that it reminds us we are not on our on

- The enemy will make us prey if we do not pray

2.)Hannah was persistent in prayer
- God answers prayers without a doubt

- Consistency overtakes the genius

Tittle: Dealing With Temptation Part 1
James 1:14-15
proverbs 7:1-27
As a young person or a believer there is always something guaranteed to come regardless of age or status, but when it comes you should be ready to conquer it and that is TEMPTATION.
But you need to have understanding in such a way that when it comes, you are prepared.
God doesn't tempt anyone but the devil(Mathews 4:1-11)

1) WHAT IS TEMPTATION?
-- This is an ENTICEMENT OR INVITATION to do something that is against the word of God
-- It is an OPPORTUNITY to DRAW you away from God to sin

TWO MAIN TYPES OF TEMPTATION

i) TEMPTATION HAVING THE ABILITY TO BEAR
1 Corinthians 10:13
before temptation comes God looks at the ability of a person
ASPECT OF BEARING TEMPTATION
- Magnitude and duration

ii) TEMPTATION NOT HAVING THE ABILITY TO BEAR
the type of temptation that is only DEPENDABLE to be taken away by God

2) THE ORIGIN OF TEMPTATION
James 1:14
These temptations are built on their lust
DESIRE
- A longing for something is known as
LUST
- A desire that has gone beyond the word of God
Everyone of us has different temptations based on the desires we have
The devil will not bring a temptation that you are not lust of.
Before the devil tempts you he checks for which desires you have for lust
Desires if prolonged they turn to envy
- Exodus 20:17
- LUST IS NOT ONLY OF A SEXUAL DESIRE

3) THE PROGRESSION OF TEMPTATION
-James 1:15
Temptations have got a PREDICTABLE SEQUENCE
Every sin committed follows a process
LUST >>> BIRTHS SIN AND WHEN SIN IS ENTERTAINED IT GROWS >>> LEADS TO DEATH ( SPIRITUAL/PHYSICAL)
The MANAGEMENT of the Temptation is DEPENDENT upon the stage you are into.
Hosea 9:14
EVERYTHING THAT TEMPTATION COMES WITH IS TO BRING DEATH.
