PRESIDENT HICHILEMA ELECTED TO SERVE FOR THE SECOND TERM
..AS HE PLEDGES TO WORK FOR ALL ZAMBIANS

President Hakainde Hichilema of the United Party for National Development (UPND) has been declared President-elect of the Republic of Zambia after securing 2,965,326 votes in the 2026 general election, representing 60.7 % of the total votes cast.

He defeated his closest challenger, Brian Mundubile of National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity(NRPUP), who polled 1,856,217 votes (30.0%), giving the UPND candidate a margin of 1,109,109 votes.

President Hichilema, an Elder and Invested Master Guide is also notable figure within the Seventh-day Adventist church through different acts of charity he renders to the church.

In his message posted on his official page,following the election victory, President Hichilema thanked Zambians for entrusting him with the country’s highest office for the second time.

“Thank you, Zambia. We are truly humbled by the trust you have placed in our hands to hold our nation's highest office and to be your servant once more", he said.

He described Zambia as “a nation of peace, a nation of law and order, a democratic nation that settles differences at the ballot box”, while pledging to focus on development, unity and prosperity.

He pledged to work for all citizens, including those who supported opponents, and to devote his energies to development, unity and prosperity, guided by the principle of “One Zambia, One Nation, One people.”

President Hichilema was first elected as President of Zambia in 2021.

A GLORIOUS HARVEST FOR GOD’S KINGDOM! ✨🌊
Chipata East Mission District Youth Crusade concluded on 8th August 2026 with an unforgettable celebration of faith, commitment, and new beginnings. 🙏🏽🔥
What began as a call to young people to discover Jesus as the Way ended with an extraordinary harvest—34 precious souls were baptised, publicly declaring their decision to follow Christ and begin a new journey of faith. 💧🕊️
But the joy did not end there! In a beautiful moment of commitment and dedication, six Pathfinders were immediately inducted by the Youth Director. Each Pathfinder received a Pathfinder scarf from the Youth Director, symbolising their commitment to God, the Pathfinder movement, and a life dedicated to service. 🧣❤️
The presence and support of the Dorcas Workers and Adventist Men’s Organization (AMO) added even more strength and beauty to this special occasion. Their presence demonstrated the power of the church family standing together behind its young people. 🤝🏽⛪
34 souls. Six Pathfinders. One united church. One mission. One powerful testimony.
Today, we celebrate not merely numbers, but lives transformed, hearts surrendered, and young people choosing Christ. 🙌🏽
To every preacher, youth leader, Pathfinder leader, Dorcas worker, AMO member, volunteer, church member, parent, and young person who played a part in this crusade—thank you for labouring for the Kingdom.
May the 34 newly baptised believers remain firmly anchored in Christ, and may the six newly inducted Pathfinders grow into strong soldiers for Jesus. ❤️‍🔥
The harvest is ready. The youth are rising. The church is moving. And Jesus is coming soon!

East Zambia Field Adventist Youth Ministries has a lot of dedicated Leaders/celebrities, but above all we dedicate this time to MG Kalyata Ng'ombe. He is a man who has made an impact every where he goes, be it Churches, be it work, be it Camps, be it Districts, this man never stops to Shine. Alot of Pathfinders love Him because he is one person who make camps alive, with drill, stories, lessons, and morning watch (chilai-lai) songs. All in all we say thank you for Making East Zambia Field Adventist Youth Ministries a very good/welcoming community. Help us thank him for us.
