Theme: LIVING FOR GOD'S GLORY
Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV) βSo whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.β
God's glory should be the central purpose of everything we do. Paul teaches that even ordinary activities can become acts of worship when they are done for God's glory. This means our faith should influence every area of life rather than being limited to church services or spiritual activities.
We can glorify God through our work, relationships, conversations, decisions, responsibilities, and service. Excellence at work can glorify Him. Honesty in our dealings can glorify Him. Showing kindness to others can glorify Him. Even the way we handle difficulties can become an opportunity to demonstrate our trust in God.
Living for God's glory requires us to examine our motives.
Sometimes we may be tempted to seek recognition, praise, status, or approval from people. However, our greatest desire should be to please God. When God receives the glory, we recognize that our abilities, opportunities, and achievements ultimately come from Him.
Jesus lived with this same focus. He consistently sought to glorify the Father rather than Himself. As His followers, we are called to have the same attitude.
May we learn to ask ourselves whether our choices reflect God's character and bring honor to His name. When our lives are centered on His glory, even ordinary responsibilities become meaningful acts of worship.
Prayer:
Father, help us live every part of our lives for Your glory. Purify our motives and let our words, actions, work, and relationships honor Your name.In Jesus name. Amen.
Declaration:
We live for God's glory. Everything we do reflects His goodness, character, and greatness.
