IT TAKES TIME
================
"I am sure that God, who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." — Philippians 1:6

My beloved,
There are no shortcuts to maturity.

Just as it takes years for a child to grow into adulthood, and just as fruit requires time to develop and ripen, spiritual growth also takes time. The development of Christlike characters cannot be rushed.

Spiritual growth is a process, not an event. While we are often concerned about how fast we are growing, God is more concerned about how well and how deeply we are growing. He desires strength, stability, and endurance in our lives.

We live in a world that values speed and instant results. We want quick fixes, easy solutions, and immediate breakthroughs.

However, God's work in us is usually gradual. He patiently shapes our character, teaches us His ways, and prepares us for His purpose.

True maturity is not the result of a single experience, no matter how powerful it may be. It is the product of daily obedience, consistent faith, and a growing relationship with God over time.

The Bible reminds us that as we walk with God, our lives are progressively transformed. Day by day, we become more like Christ, reflecting His character and glory.

Do not become discouraged if your growth seems slow. God is still at work in you. Every lesson, every challenge, every season, and every victory is part of His divine process.
Trust the process. Trust the timing. Trust the God who is working in you.

Prayer: Father, help me to be patient with the process of spiritual growth. Strengthen me to remain faithful as You continue Your work in my life. Let me grow in grace, wisdom, and Christlike character each day. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

See you at the top as we continue learning that it takes time to mature.

THE HEART OF WORSHIP
=======================
“Give yourselves to God… surrender your whole being to Him to be used for righteous purposes.” — Romans 6:13 (TEV)

My Beloved,

The heart of worship is surrender.

Surrender is an unpopular word, disliked almost as much as the word submission. It implies losing, and no one wants to be a loser.

Surrender often evokes unpleasant images of admitting defeat in battle, forfeiting a game, or yielding to a stronger opponent.

In today’s competitive culture, we are taught to never give up and never give in. As a result, we hear very little about surrendering.

If winning is everything, then surrendering seems unthinkable. We would rather talk about winning, succeeding, overcoming, and conquering than yielding, submitting, obeying, and surrendering.

Yet surrendering to God is the very heart of worship. It is the natural response to God’s amazing love and mercy.

We give ourselves to Him not out of duty, but out of love, “because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19

True worship begins when we lay down our will and allow God to take full control of our lives.

See you at the top as we continue learning about the heart of worship.

LIFE IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT
==================================
“LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, and that my life is fleeing away.” — Psalm 39:4

“I am here on earth for just a little while.” — Psalm 119:19

My beloved, for us to make the most of our time on earth, we must understand this truth: life is a temporary assignment.

To keep us from becoming too attached to this world, God allows us to experience a certain measure of discontent and dissatisfaction in life—longings that can never be fully satisfied on this side of eternity.

In God’s eyes, the greatest heroes of faith are not necessarily those who achieve prosperity, success, or power in this life, but those who treat life as a temporary assignment and serve Him faithfully while expecting their promised rewards in eternity.

Realizing that life on earth is only temporary should radically alter our values. Eternal values, not temporal ones, should become the deciding factor in our decisions.

As C. S. Lewis once observed:
“All that is not eternal is eternally useless.”

The Bible says:
“We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:18

THE LORD OF THE HARVEST
===========================
“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’” — Matthew 9:37–38

My beloved, God is the Lord of the harvest. The world is full of people who are hungry for salvation, peace, hope, and truth.

Many souls are waiting to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but the challenge is that there are few laborers willing to work for God.

A harvest is gathered at the right time. If it is neglected, it cannot be achieved.

Yesterday, we took time to harvest maize from our 3 Lima church farms with our members.

We are indeed enjoying our year of Mercy and Favour.

LIFE ON EARTH IS A TRUST
=======================
“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” — Genesis 1:28

“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.” — Psalm 24:1

My beloved, life on earth is a trust.

Our time on earth, our energy, intelligence, opportunities, relationships, and resources are all gifts from God entrusted to our care and management.

We are stewards of whatever God gives us.
We never truly own anything during our brief stay on earth. God only loans these things to us for a season.

The earth belonged to God before we arrived, and it will still belong to Him after we leave. We are simply privileged to enjoy and manage His blessings for a while.

The first assignment God gave humanity was to manage and care for His creation on earth. This responsibility has never been withdrawn. It remains part of our divine purpose today.

Everything we enjoy should be treated as a trust placed in our hands by God.

Our culture says, “If you do not own it, you will not take care of it.” But Christians live by a higher standard: “Because God owns it, I must take the best care of it that I can.”

Jesus often referred to life as a trust and told many parables to illustrate our responsibility toward God.

In the parable of the talents, a master entrusted his wealth to his servants before going on a journey. Upon his return, he evaluated each servant’s faithfulness and rewarded them accordingly.

The master said:
“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful over a few things; I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” — Matthew 25:21

At the end of our lives on earth, we too shall be evaluated and rewarded according to how faithfully we handled what God entrusted to us.

This means that everything we do — even the simple daily tasks of life — carries eternal significance.

If we treat life as a sacred trust, God promises three eternal rewards:

👉God’s Affirmation — “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

👉Greater Responsibility — “I will make you ruler over many things.”

👉Eternal Celebration — “Enter into the joy of your lord.”

May we remain faithful stewards of all that God has entrusted into our hands.

LIFE ON EARTH IS A TEST======================="Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life?...

LIFE ON EARTH IS A TEST
=======================
"Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a v***r that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." — Epistle of James 4:14

My beloved, according to the Bible, life on earth is a test.

God continually tests people's character, faith, obedience, love, integrity, and loyalty.

👉God tested Abraham by asking him to offer his son Isaac.

👉God tested Jacob when he had to work extra years in order to marry Rachel.

👉Adam and Eve failed their test in the Garden of Eden.

👉David also failed God's tests on several occasions.

However, the Bible gives us many examples of people who passed great tests, such as Joseph, Ruth, Esther, and Daniel.

Character is both developed and revealed through tests, and all of life is a test.
We are always being tested.

God continually watches our responses to people, problems, success, conflict, illness, disappointment, and even the weather.

We will be tested by major changes, delayed promises, impossible problems, unanswered prayers, undeserved criticism, and even senseless tragedies.

One very important test is how we act when we cannot feel God's presence in our lives.
Sometimes God intentionally withdraws His felt presence, and we no longer sense His closeness.

King Hezekiah experienced this test:
"God withdrew from Hezekiah in order to test him and know all that was in his heart." — Books of Chronicles 32:31

When we understand that life is a test, we realize that nothing in our lives is insignificant.

Even the smallest incident has meaning for our character development.

See you at the top as we continue learning that life on earth is a test.

SEEING LIFE FROM GOD'S VIEW
===========================
“Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a v***r that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” — James 4:14

My beloved, our view of life influences how we invest our time, spend our money, use our talents, and value our relationships.

For people who perceive life as a party, their primary value is having fun.

For those who think life is a race, their primary value is speed.

For those who see life as a marathon, their primary value is endurance.

For those who view life as a battle or a game, winning becomes very important to them.

The Bible offers three metaphors that teach us God’s view of life:

👉Life is a Test

👉Life is a Trust

👉Life is a Temporary Assignment

See you at the top as we continue learning about seeing life from God’s perspective.

DON'T BE SURPRISED BY INGRATITUDE
==================================
“Jesus answered them, ‘Many good works have I shown you from My Father; for which of those works do you stone Me?’” — John 10:32

My beloved, even Jesus experienced ingratitude. He was rejected and eventually crucified by the very people He came to save.

Every leader will, at some point, come face to face with ingratitude. Many people may not appreciate the sacrifices, services, and kindness you extend to them.

Jesus was hated for His good deeds. He was exchanged for an armed robber, yet He never responded with bitterness or revenge against the spirit of ingratitude.

Do not look to people for appreciation or reward. A true leader looks to God for reward.

“Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.” — Ephesians 6:8

The Scripture teaches us that our rewards come from God and not from the people we help.

God alone can reward you adequately.

Therefore, do not expect too much from people; expect your reward from God.

See you at the top as we learn never to be surprised by ingratitude.
