Lead Apostle Fred Mwila visited nakonde district for a two day pastoral mission...He conducted a divine service with dedication for shemu congregation...
For this divine service,the lead Apostle read from EXODUS 13:21 as the text word...

"During the day the lord went in front of them in a pillar of Cloud to show them the way,and during the night he went in front of them in a pillar of fire to give them light,so that they could travel night and day"

The children of Israel on there journey from egypt to canan the promised land, they used to follow the pillar of Cloud and the pillar of fire to lead them through day and night...The cloud and fire symbolized the presence of God who helped them reach the promised land....
In our time he mentioned that children of God are been guided through the holy spirit and sacraments...
He further encouraged Gods children to follow the guidance by the holy spirit and this can only be done once we listen to the word of God and repent....

SHEMU CONGREGATION is located in the eastern part of nakonde and it is about 30 kilometres away from nakonde central business town. The begining of Shemu congregation can be traced back to 1994. Sister Chihana had already been congregating at a nearby congregation namely Kaombwe.,Later, through testify by Ministers from Kaombwe, the Kanyanya family who had been transfered to the area got acquainted with the gospel of the apostles and the entire family was adopted and subsequently got sealed by the late Apostle Peter Mwamba. That signified the begining of this congregation and services were being conducted at Shemu Primary school.
