They don’t care about right or wrong; they care about perception. Making someone else comfortable — a new partner, a friend, or an audience — means more to them than treating you with basic respect. It’s how they rewrite the story, turning themselves into the hero while you become the villain.

They’ll smear your name, downplay your pain, and pretend the relationship was never real — all to gain sympathy, admiration, or control. This is how they protect their fragile ego: by sacrificing your dignity to feed their illusion.

But remember — their betrayal says nothing about your worth and everything about their character. Disrespecting someone who once loved them isn’t strength; it’s weakness. It’s proof of how deeply they fear accountability and how desperate they are to stay admired.

Don’t chase closure from someone who feels powerful by demeaning others. Don’t explain, justify, or defend yourself to people who believed their lies. The truth doesn’t need defending — it just needs time.

June will forever be an emotional month for many Zambians marking the anniversaries of the passings of three Former heads of state
President Kenneth Kaunda , President Frederick Chiluba (F.T.J) and now President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

President Edgar Lungu's death has officially marked the end of era as he was Zambia's only surviving former Head of states

President Kenneth Kaunda (1924–2021)

on 17 June 2021, Zambia mourned the loss of its founding father, President Kenneth David Kaunda, who died at the age of 97 in Lusaka. Kaunda led Zambia to independence in 1964 and served as the nation's first president until 1991.

President Frederick Chiluba (1943-2011)

As of June 2025, it has been 14 years since Chiluba's passing. His legacy remains a complex chapter in Zambia's history, reflecting both strides toward democracy and the challenges of governance.Frederick Jacob Titus Chiluba, Zambia's second Republican President, passed away on 18 June 2011 at his home in Lusaka at the age of 68.

In 1991, he led the Movement for Multi-Party Democracy (MMD) to victory over Kenneth Kaunda's United National Independence Party (UNIP), becoming Zambia's first democratically elected president

President Edgar Chagwa Lungu (1956–2025)

on 5 June 2025, Zambia lost its sixth Republican President, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, at the age of 68. He passed away at Medforum Clinic in Pretoria, South Africa, where he had been receiving medical treatment. President Lungu served from 2015 to 2021.
