I'M IN THE POTTER'S HAND
Preacher: Deacon Sydney Chibiya
Scripture: Jeremiah 18:1–6
Theme: I’m in the Potter’s Hand
THE SIX PROCESSES OF THE POTTER
1. Seeking Process — Revelation 3:20
The potter seeks the vessel and calls it into His presence. We must open our hearts and allow God to work in us.
2. Pruning Process — John 15:1–2
God removes what is unproductive from our lives so that we can bear more fruit. Pruning may be painful, but it is necessary for growth.
3. Soaking Process
The clay must be softened and prepared before it can be shaped. Likewise, we must remain in God’s presence and allow His Word to soften and prepare our hearts.
4. Molding Process
The potter shapes the clay according to his purpose. God is shaping our character, our lives, and our destiny according to His plan.
5. Tuning Process
The potter carefully adjusts the vessel, correcting imperfections and bringing it into proper form. God also corrects, refines, and aligns us with His purpose.
6. Vanishing Process
The vessel must surrender completely to the potter’s hands. Our own will, pride, and self-dependence must decrease so that God’s purpose can be fully revealed in our lives.
KEY MESSAGE
I am in the Potter’s hands.
I may be going through a process, but I am not being abandoned. Every stage has a purpose, and the Potter knows exactly what He is making me into.
Jeremiah 18:6:
“Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand.”
