*A Birthday Message for Rev. Derick Mesekiya*
_From your children at Light House_
Happy Birthday, Papa Derick 🎉
Today we celebrate more than your birthday — we celebrate the father, pastor, and shepherd God placed in our lives.
You’ve taught us that ministry isn’t about a title, it’s about love that stays. You’ve stayed with us in prayer, in counsel, in correction, and in celebration. When we stumble, you point us back to Jesus. When we succeed, you remind us to give Him the glory. Your life preaches louder than any sermon: faithfulness, humility, and courage.
At Light House, you’ve made room for all of us to belong. You see potential where others see problems. You speak destiny over us when we can’t see it ourselves. Because of your “yes” to God, our “yes” to Him has grown stronger.
We’ve watched you carry burdens we’ll never know, stand in gaps we’ll never see, and pray prayers that have changed our lives. That’s fatherhood. That’s pastoring. That’s Christlikeness.
Papa, we pray that on this day God renews your strength like the eagle’s, fills your heart with fresh joy, and honors you openly for the secret sacrifices you make daily. May your latter years be greater than your former, and may your legacy live on in every life you’ve touched — especially ours.
Thank you for loving us like your own. Thank you for leading us to Jesus.
We love you, we honor you, and we are proud to be your children at Light House.
Happy Birthday, Rev. Mesekiya. The best is still ahead.
