Bitterness is a deep feeling of resentment, anger, or hurt that a person continues to hold because of past pain, disappointment, injustice, or betrayal. Instead of healing, the person keeps replaying the hurt, which can affect their thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
From a Christian perspective, the Bible warns against bitterness because it can damage both the individual and those around them.
Key Bible verses:
Ephesians 4:31 – "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice."
Hebrews 12:15 – "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many."
Signs of bitterness may include:
Difficulty forgiving someone.
Constant anger or resentment.
Dwelling on past hurts.
Feeling joy when those who hurt you suffer.
Struggling to trust or love others.
How to overcome bitterness:
Bring your hurt to God in prayer.
Choose to forgive, even if it takes time.
Meditate on God's Word.
Ask the Holy Spirit to heal your heart.
Pray for those who have wronged you, as Jesus taught.
Bitterness is like carrying a heavy burden. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was acceptable—it means you are choosing not to let the hurt continue to control your life.

Romans 1:16 (KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

‎Mark 6:12-13 (KJV) And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
‎And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

‎The gospel is the power of God! The gospel is not only the power by which a person is saved from hell, it is also God's unlimited ability to save, heal, raise dead and deliver.

‎As ministers of the gospel,we are entrusted with God's strength and might. We are therefore faced with these responsibilities.

‎Matthew 10:1 (KJV) And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

‎Matthew 10:8 (KJV) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Malachi 3:18 (KJV) Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

There is a difference between a church and a servant of God.A church member does nothing for God.A church member sits around and receives a lot, giving nothing.the church must be full of servants not members.

God does reward church members,He rewards church workers.
