What is a scam?

A scam is having the Bible translated into Tonga, Lozi, Bemba, Luvale, Yoruba, Igbo Zulu and every other African language.

But having zero scientific books, translated into a single African language. That's a scam.

IN AFRICA WE MAKE OURSELVES willing TO participants OUR own destruction.
I have personally walked into different libraries and I have seen University science books, translated into Chinese, Russian Portuguese, Arabic and so forth. I have seen even a book like "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, translated into French. I have seen the Japanese version of "As a man Thinkth" , I've seen the Spanish version of Alchemists. I've seen the Arabic version of The Art of War. All these books, I have seen them in various languages, but none in any African language and African Child is sent Arabic school, just to learn Arabic so that he can read the word of his her supposed creator. The Arab praise and learn in their own language. African child, learns, and pray. In other languages,

You will find churches in Zambia where the preacher will preach in English and have native translator next to them doing the translation. Here's where the scam comes in. You will never find a school in Zambia, where the teacher will have a translator next to them to translate chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography, economics to the students. I have seen many science books, translate into various languages, but none in any African language, the Chinese are taught mathematics in Chinese, the Japanese are taught Engineering in Japanese. They are all taught Finance chemistry, astrophysics accounting medicine, geology government in their languages. The only book that Africans have had in their languages is the Bible and Quran. The only time Africans have something translated them to in their language isn't a church and mosque.

Once we free our mind, we free ourselves.

In my Journey through life I have learnt that

"Everyone in the Church of God is infected with the Sin virus, but we tend to isolate those who show symptoms as if we ourselves are not infected."

One lovely Sabbath, after preaching, a certain Dorcas worker in a particular church came to me and said, "Preacher, you know these children of ours are really disappointing us so much, but I just thank God that my daughter is not pregnant."

I looked at her prayerfully and said, "I hear you, Mom. But if I were you, I wouldn't thank God for that."

With shock and disappointment on her face, she slowly asked, "Why, preacher?"

With pain in my heart, I replied, "Your daughter might not be pregnant, but she could be a master of abortion."

The absence of pregnancy is not a declaration of holiness. Just because someone's daughter is pregnant, it doesn't make your unpregnant daughter better. She might possess a PhD in abortion pills and morning-after pills. This doesn't change the fact that she is a mother—the only difference is that she is a mother to unborn babies who have died.

Listen to me: the fact that you sin differently doesn't make you a better sinner than I am.

My sins might be visible to the public now, but all our sins are visible in the sight of God.

For some of us, the symptom is s*x before wedlock; for others, it's s*x outside of wedlock.

Maybe that's why the youth avoid asking you to pray for them—because in their inbox, you are busy calling them "baby, baby."

We are all infected with the sin virus, but we tend to punish each other for showing symptoms instead of praying for each other.

As John Bunyan said, "He that is down needs fear no fall; he that is low, no pride."

We are all infected with sin, but the symptoms differ. Our only cure is not the law; our only cure is Jesus.

In my Journey through life I have learnt that

"Contrary to popular belief, you can teach an old dog new tricks."

In fact, it might even be easier to teach an old dog than to change the habits of a human being. However, the old adage about old dogs still has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Most dog trainers will tell you that the challenge of training your pet has less to do with the animal at the end of the collar and more to do with the one holding the leash.

Perhaps the saying was created as an excuse for not trying something new and fresh. How many times have you heard someone say, “I’m too old to change!” People probably thought that about Colonel Harland Sanders.

When he was young, Harland worked many different jobs. He farmed, worked on a steamboat, and even sold insurance. At 40, he opened a service station and began selling chicken dinners to his patrons. Over the years, his method of preparing chicken grew more popular, leading him to open a restaurant. When a new freeway diverted potential customers from his business, he launched a franchise, and Kentucky Fried Chicken was born. The Colonel was 65 years old.

Closer to home, consider the story of Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia's first president, who after his presidency continued to be active in public life, advocating for peace and development in Africa. There’s also the inspiring story of Esther Phiri, who rose from a challenging background to become a world-renowned boxer in her 20s and 30s, showing that change and success can come at any stage in life.

As the African proverb goes, "Wisdom does not come overnight." These stories remind us that change is possible at any age. Whether in Zambia, Africa, or anywhere else in the world, the potential for transformation and new beginnings is always present. It’s never too late to try something new, embrace a fresh challenge, or pursue a different dream. The human spirit, with its resilience and adaptability, shows that age is just a number, and lifelong learning and growth are indeed possible.

In my Journey through life I have learnt that

"In biblical times a woman was considered part of Man's properties"

Sounds uncomfortable to Morden women right?😃😀

Wait, Do you even know why a man pay bride price (lobola)? Perhaps you think of it as a token or a return of tenth kikikikik?

In Hebrew culture, which shares similarities with many African cultures, once you pay for something, it becomes yours. It signifies ownership of that property. This principle is reflected in the Ten Commandments, where a wife is listed among a man's possessions:

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." (Exodus 20:17)

This biblical perspective reflects the view that wives were considered part of a man's household and property, similar to other valuable assets.

Furthermore, in Christian theology, Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is seen as the ultimate act of redemption and ownership:

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

Jesus' sacrifice is understood to have redeemed humanity and made believers His own by both creation and redemption. This parallels the cultural practice where the bride price signifies a man's commitment and claim over his bride.

This might seat uncomfortable to many Morden women however, when properly understood, it can actually helps you live a better and successful life in your relationship and marriage.

ELI

Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the LORD. (1 Samuel 2:12)

Very strange bible text! It's like the Scriptures is saying the son of an Elder or Pastor was a thief, corrupt more than the PF Government.

What makes this so strongly strange was that
Eli was the high priest and judge in Israel. He held the highest and most responsible positions among the people of God. He was looked up to as an example, and he wielded a great influence over the tribes of Israel. Everyone in Israel respected him so much that he was coincided a god amongst men.

Yet he failed as a father. He was a horrible parent. He was an indulgent father. He was a lose father. He did not exercise his authority to correct the evil habits and passions of his children. Thus his children growup to be disrespectful, dishonest, thiefs and sinful before God and man.

Your ordination as a Pastor or an elder doesn't overflow to your children, it's not hereditary. You still have a huge responsibility to rise your children in the fear of the Lord.

Scripture declare that the sins of the young men was very great before the LORD, for men abhorred the offering of the LORD. (1 Samuel 2:13-17)

Because of Eli's position, his influence was more extended than if he had been an ordinary man. His family life was imitated throughout Israel. The baleful results of his negligent, ease-loving ways were seen in thousands of homes that were molded by his example.

If children are indulged in evil practices, while the parents make a profession of religion, the truth of God is brought into reproach. The best test of the Christianity of a home is the type of character begotten by its influence. Actions speak louder than the most positive profession of godliness.

If professors of religion, instead of putting forth earnest, persistent, and painstaking effort to bring up a well-ordered household as a witness to the benefits of faith in God, are lax in their government and indulgent to the evil desires of their children, they are doing as did Eli, and are bringing disgrace on the cause of Christ and ruin upon themselves and their households.

But great as are the evils of parental unfaithfulness under any circumstances, they are tenfold greater when they exist in the families of those appointed as teachers of the people. When these fail to control their own households, they are, by their wrong example, misleading many. Their guilt is as much greater than that of others as their position is more responsible.

Eli's story serves as a cautionary tale for all parents. Allowing evil without restraint leads to lasting consequences that can't be undone by sacrifices or offerings.
How are you rising your children?
