Matthew 17:17

One of the things you just have to love about Jesus is how confident He is in His abilities. You don’t rebuke failure in others unless you are fully confident that you can produce the required solution yourself. He called them a faithless and perverse generation, and only after doing so did He address the situation and heal the young boy.

This was a lesson not only in power but in confidence as well. This is the kind of confidence that comes from having Him within you. At this level, you don’t derive your confidence from results, but your confidence is what actually produces results. Child of God, before you transform into the better version of you who exists at your next level in life, you have to amass a certain level of confidence. Know that you have God, gather your confidence and ascend!

In Psalm 22—a messianic prophecy Jesus quoted on the cross—we read these striking words:

“I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people.” (Psalm 22:6)

The Hebrew word used here is tolaʿath, a specific scarlet worm known in the ancient world. The female tolaʿath attaches herself to a piece of wood to give birth. As she does, her body is crushed, staining the wood and her offspring with a deep crimson dye that covers and protects them. Afterward, the mother dies—but her young live, sustained by what she has given. In time, what remains turns white.

Isaiah later echoes this imagery:
“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” (Isaiah 1:18)

On the cross, Jesus poured out His life so that others might live. His blood brings cleansing, and His sacrifice brings new life. What was once stained by sin is made white through Him.

Long before Calvary, God embedded the gospel into creation itself. The worm wasn’t random. It was prophetic.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Child of God, an inability to forgive is often a reflection of a lack of love. If, like many people, you have wondered why it is so difficult to forgive, love is the answer. Your ability to forgive stems from the depth of your love for others.

Remember that when God sent His only begotten Son to die for our sins, it was not because we had sought His forgiveness, but it was a demonstration of His great love.

Always remember that God is your Father, and you are called to forgive.

When the Bible describes a doctrine that drops like rain and speech that distils as dew, it is unveiling a key component to your success – consistency. The author here is not even addressing God, but the earth. He is seeing that his utterances are dropping slowly like rain, and they seem to not be working.

What do you do when this becomes your situation? You keep declaring statements of success over your space. Even if you said it yesterday and it didn’t work, say it again today.
Child of God, it’s not enough for you to communicate only to your clients, the earth itself and all the elements are servants waiting for your instruction.

Keep making positive declarations and sooner or later, you will start to realise the effects of your words. You will see how your utterances of yesterday set the pace of business today.
