John 10:10a
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
Bretheren in the Lord as the Bible says that many are the affliction of the righteous man but the Lord deliver him from them all, it's a clear indication that in life we face alot of challenges, most of them caused by Satan, it's painful I know but can we pause a minute and try to see something positive in this?
St John is here outlining the works of the devil as it is his motive when he is coming to a person but one thing that is so profound here is the opening four words:-
โขThe thief cometh not.....
This indicates that without what ever anything worth to be stolen, destroyed or killed you can not see this thief coming. When he is showing just know that you are fully loaded, you have treasures that when he sees you he's so jealous and afraid of you.
The reason why he comes is not just to do all these things named above but he has one big agenda and that is to put the kingdom of God to an end but Satan is a failure because he's a defeated old serpent.
How are we to defeat him in defending what we have in Christ?
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Look at the power and authority that is being found in this scripture.....The first important step to take is to submit yourself to God,what do I mean? You must be born again by believing in Jesus Christ and confessing His Lordship over your life. Because after you do this now you have the ability to resist Satan and he'll surely free from you, look at this portion of the scripture, the Bible did not say he'll run away from you or otherwise but he'll free from you.
Brothers and sisters am here to encourage someone that if you are facing difficulties or you've lost everything the Bible says once you submit yourself to God you can resist Satan over your life, your family and all your belongings in Jesus name.
Shalom
