FWC Impact Youth

FWC Impact Youth A youth ministry sprouting from AFM Family Worship Centre Wellington, moved by a love for Christ. Youth Leader: Tamryn Rasmus
[email protected]

IMPACT Youth is a youth ministry routed in AFM Family Worship Centre Wellington. Our aim is to inspire more people to accept Christ today, instead of waiting until you're older and no longer able to serve Him with the enthusiasm and zest you had when you were young. Ecclesiastes 12:1 puts it perfectly,

"Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years

approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them"

We also aim to unite with other young people from various denominations because we have much more power united than we do divided. No affiliation, race, or any form of man-made division should be allowed to divide or separate children of God from one another. God can do great and mighty works among a united people. IMPACT Youth evenings take place every Friday at 7pm. All young people are welcome to join. We are at AFM Family Worship Centre Wellington, lead by Presiding Pastor Eliston Delport. Peace and love

Can't Swim? Walk on Water.

In the book of Matthew there’s a Chapter where it speaks about Jesus calling Peter to walk out to Him ON the water. Peter took a few steps toward Jesus on the water, but the waters around him seemed so rough that it distracted him. The minute that happened, and he took his eyes off Jesus, he began to sink.

Sometimes we see some really deep waters and think “Okay this is crazy, I’m gonna drown”, but God made a promise that the waters will not overtake you, you need to remember though that He is with you in that storm and that He will either let you walk on water OR part the seas for you to walk through on dry land.

Are your eyes on the raging seas, or are your eyes fixed on Christ who controls every wave?

Isaiah 40:28-31 (NIV)

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 BUT THOSE WHO HOPE IN THE LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Well there you have it. Everybody get's tired at some point, but God promises to renew the strength of those who continue to hope in Him. Wait on the Lord.

Psalm 25:7 (NIV)

Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good.

Jimmy Needham sings:

"O He died, He died to rectify my hopeless situation
And His blood commands my guilt to leave
Now on Calvary I stand
Empty pockets, open hands
O there is no condemnation for me

Child, you’re forgiven and loved"

Sometimes someone you care about may be going through a rough time. Whether it's financially, physically, emotionally, whichever. And you might feel helpless, because there is nothing you can do to alter the situation. But God can. So when you're feeling helpless, just pray. God can comfort, God can provide, God can heal. God can do better than our best efforts.

Always remember that God loved you at your darkest. There were no conditions and no prerequisites. He loved you when you thought no one could... And He will never stop loving you. You can't make Him stop loving you. He won't get tired of you, His love won't run dry.
I was once God's enemy because of my sin, but through the blood of Christ I am now God's friend.

Are you a friend of God?
