Day 23

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10;Acts 23

Peace to you all

Today marks the last day of our prayer and fasting.
All we have to do is to thank God for the ability he gave us to partake of this exercise.

We are also Worshipping God for who He is as well as for answering our prayers.

I also want to thank those who participated for listening , for the Bible even says obedience is better than sacrifice.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Day 21

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10;John 17:20-22;Acts 21

Peace to you all

Today we are praying for unity in the body of Christ especially in leadership and all departments.

It's easy to achieve when people are united. The absence of unity becomes a breeding ground for animosity, envy, jealousy, quarrelling, gossip, back biting, bitterness etc.

To go far we need to move together as the body of Christ but can two walk together unless they agree (Amos 3:3).

Division is not of God but of the devil.
We have people today who don't see eye to eye nor greet yet they claim to be Christians.
Frankly speaking you are worsting your time.
The Bible says,"Whoever hates his brother is a murderer..." (1John 3:15-16).

It's surprising to see that we have a lot of Christians who are full of hate.
You hate your neighbours, inlaws, colleagues etc.
Well it's a sign that the Spirit of God is absent.

I urge you to repent and live life freely as ordained by Christ without caging people in your hearts.

Even in our families let's pray for unity, for we know that a kingdom divided against itself will not stand.
Look at termites (majuru) and bees. They are so tiny yet they do great things due to unity of purpose.

From today when you hear someone fighting the work of God or fighting a fellow believer, or your Pastor or anything to do with God in general be it directly or indirectly rebuke them and refuse to be part of it.
Have a Kingdom mentality knowing that whatever we do its all for the Glory of God.

A kingdom mentality is one that knows how to take care of another brethren who is going through a perilous time and not to mock.
One that offers a shoulder to lean on in secret without blowing a horn of such an act.

It is my prayer that we all have the mind of Christ as believers, as such I encourage you to pray for the Spirit of unity which is anchored in love (1Peter 4:8).

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Day 20

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10;1 Corinthians 14:14-19;Acts 20

Peace to you all

Today we are focusing on the last gift of the Holy Spirit which is interpretation of tongues.

Having received the gift of speaking in an unknown language.
It is also good to ask God for the ability to interpret the tongues.

Every tongue that is spoken must be interpreted since it carries a divine meaning.
Therefore I am urging you to pray for this gift today.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Day 19

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10; Acts 2:1-12;Acts 19

Peace to you all

Good morning, for those participating we are making much progress in our Spiritual exercise and we left with few days.

I want to assure those partaking in the exercise that life will never be the same.

However today we focusing on the gift of speaking in tongues also known as glasolalia

Speaking in tongues or unknown language is the initial evidence that one has been filled by the Holy Spirit.

Water baptism alone is not enough, one had to be baptised in the Holy Spirit as well as a seal and sign that we are in Christ (Acts 10:45-48).

Paul in his encouragement to the church he mentioned that ,"he who speaks in an unknown language speaketh not unto men but God, for no man understand him howbeit in the Spirit he speaketh mysteries." (1Cor14:2)

Every believer who believes that Jesus Christ is Lord must speak in tongues.
If you don't speak in tongues, today is the day that you should ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit and it shall be so.

For those of us who are filled. Let's pray for our brethren to be filled by the Holy Spirit.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Day 18

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10; Acts 18

Peace to you all

Today we are focusing on the working of miracles as a gift from the Holy Spirit.

The word of God is full of miracles/wonders. Jesus Christ performed so many wonders such that the scriptures says if it were all to be recorded the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. (John 21:25)

Every time a miracle is done, it display the greatness of our God.
The Bible says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
So Christ is still performing miracle just like He used to.

I want to encourage you to ask God for this gift as well as for miracles to take place in your life.

Let every dry bone or deserted desire in you life come to pass.
I command miracles to take place in every area of your life.

Let God perform a miracle that will change your life.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Day 16

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10; Hebrews 11; Acts 16

Good day all

Today we are focusing on faith as a gift from the Holy Spirit.

Faith is defined as , a substance/assurance/confirmation of things hoped for, evidence/proof/conviction of things not seen. ( Hebrews 11:1).

The word of God says that , "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" ( Romans 10:17).

It is clear that the we can attain faith through hearing the word of God which is serving Faith (Hebrews 11:6) and also as a gift of the Holy Spirit.

Faith is a muscle that must be put into exercise.
It is a divine currency which supersedes natural laws/principals for with it there is no limitation and all things are possible (Mark 11:24).

Ask God for this gift which must be put into action always.
With Faith we are unstoppable, with it we are more than conquerors irrespective of the situation and our destiny is certain.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Day 15

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10; Acts 15

Good day all

Today our focus is on the gift of Prophecy from the Holy Spirit.

Prophecy simply means forth telling the mind of God.
Paul says that the gift of prophecy is the one that addifies the church and is mostly for the strengthening or encouraging of the church (1Cor 14:4).

The Bible is full of so many Prophets of God who were mightly used by God.
A Prophet can see what others do not see 2Kings 6v17-20.
Ask God for such a gift today which like Paul I also believe every believer must have.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Pst Richard Matanda

Day 14

Prayer and Fasting
Theme: Holy Spirit
Scripture: 1Corithians 12:1-10; Acts 14

Good day all

Today we again focusing on the gifts of the Holy Spirit mainly the gift of Discerning of Spirits.

This is a unique gift which we must ask from God especially in these end times were the level of pervasiveness is too high.

It is a supernatural revelation or insight into the realm of spirit to detect their presence and plan/motive.

The church is supposed to be one body of Christ but because the devil also wants to deceive people.
He operates in some of our fellow brothers and sisters in different forms.

It is important that we test the spirit at any time to see if something is being done in the Spirit of God.

The level of wickedness and pretence in church is too high today such that some are competing with the devil himself.
Some Christians no longer conform to the genuiness thus have lost the power of God and are now holding to the form of Godliness.
Getting to know the true characters of some of our Pastors, leaders, worshippers etc is so shocking.

I as a Pastor am sometimes speechless when God reveal the spirit behind certain people in church.
Spirit of discerning will tell the spirit and motive behind everything being done.
Whether it's for God or for people to notice so that glory comes to an individual and not God.

You need this gift, and am encouraging you to ask God of it.

May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
