BUILDING HOPE IN A HOPELESS SITUATION.

II Kings 20:1-6
We are living in the world of changes. Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever”. What a powerful truth it is. Even though Jesus remains the same in the past, present and future, but days are never the same. Situation, like the weather remain unpredictable. Because of that, whenever you find yourself in a hopeless situation, you need to build hope for yourself. Remember the poorest person ever lived in the world, is not a person without a cent, but a person without Hope. Every leader is the dealer of hope.

WHO WAS HEZEKIAH

The name Hezekiah means “Jehovah is strength”. Hezekiah was the son of Ahaz, king of Judah. He began to reign while he was 25 years of age. What stays encouraging it that Hezekiah did what was right in the eyes of God 18:1-5. He was a man of prayer 19:14-19. He trusted in the God of Israel to an extent that after him was none like him among the kings of Judah. Above all, the Lord was with him and he prospered in all that he did v.8 v.7.

It was when Hezekiah was 39 years old when he got sick near death. Remember he was a man trusted upon God and a man who did what was right before God, yet he got sick. Sickness as we can learn here is not for the weak. He got sick even though the Lord prospered him in all that he did. It was in the pick of that sickness that the prophet Isaiah went to him with a message from the Lord. I for one believe that the king was almost relieved by just seeing the prophet visiting him. What do you think was the kings expectation from the prophet? He

9. There must be formidable power structure. In every stronghold, the power structure must be well defined. The ability of the stronghold to terminate destinies resides in the power structure of that stronghold. When you want to deal with any stronghold, you must target the power structure of that stronghold. The stronghold is highly focused. There is nothing like timidity. This attribute must be understood when it come to the destruction of human destiny
