Midweek Divine Service – 3 June 2026

This evening, Welcome Estate Congregation was blessed with a Midweek Divine Service conducted by Priest Charles Hendricks from Surrey Estate Congregation.

The Bible text was taken from Isaiah 28:16:

“Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; whoever believes will not act hastily.’”

This evening also marked a Young People Take-the-Lead service, where the YP fulfilled various responsibilities within the congregation, including serving as door keepers and ushers. The choir was conducted by Brother Taylor Fisher, who also served as organist.

Through the Word, we were reminded that Jesus Christ is the precious cornerstone and sure foundation upon which our faith is built.

A blessed evening of worship, service, and fellowship in the Lord’s presence.

Sunday School Lessons Conducted by Parents - 31 May 2026

Today, our Sunday School children enjoyed a special morning as the parents conducted the Sunday School lessons. The children first gathered for their music lesson before moving into their various classes, where the parents shared the lesson for the day.

It was a blessed and meaningful opportunity for parents and children to learn together in God’s Word, strengthening the bond between home, congregation, and faith.

May the seeds sown today continue to grow in the hearts of our children.

Pentecost Presentation 2026

​A Pentecost presentation was hosted in Welcome Estate on Thursday evening, serving as spiritual preparation for Sunday's upcoming divine service.

The presentation was facilitated by Priest Cederes and Retired Shepherd Liedemann, the gathering drew from a special text in John 12:26, allowing members to delve into teachings about the Holy Spirit and exchange personal testimonies.

Today, Welcome Estate Congregation was blessed with a Divine Service conducted by our Rector, Colin English, assisted by Priest Deon Cederes.

The Bible text was taken from Acts 1:8:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

We were also blessed to witness the Holy Baptism of the baby of our dear parents, Jaylin and Chandler. Through this sacrament and the preached Word, we were reminded of the grace of God and the promise of a life led in faith through the working of the Holy Spirit.

A blessed and joyful divine service in the presence of the Lord.
