Spring is here, and we’re getting ready to BLOOM together as a church family! 🌸🌿Join us on Sunday, 20 September, as every generation comes together under one roof for a special celebration service at 10:00, followed by an afternoon packed with food, fellowship, and fun.

Here’s some of what’s happening on the day:
🍦 10:00, Hatfield in Bloom at our Morning Service: Multi-generational worship in the main auditorium, with ice cream for everyone right after!
🔥 12:30-16:00, celebrate at our Spring Village: Bring-and-braai (or grab lunch from local food vendors). Pack your picnic blankets, camping chairs, and gazebos.
⚽️ Bloom & Play: 5-a-side soccer, boeresport, karaoke, board games, and jumping castles for the kids.

Closing out our Faith Promise season, Ps. Louis reminded us that the Church isn’t expanded through human perfection, but through ordinary people empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring healing and hope to their everyday spaces.

What happens when a Community Group decides to shift its focus outward and serve together? 🤝

In this clip, Community Group leader Vici and member Dmitri share how their group chose to step beyond their regular meetings to volunteer at Naledi Children’s Home. What began as an intentional decision to be the hands and feet of Jesus has grown into an experience that impacts their own lives as much as the children’s.

As Dmitri shares, pushing past the days when you don’t feel like going is often where the deepest fulfilment happens. Putting in the work and showing up leaves you with an energy and joy you didn’t have before – a reminder that God honours every willing step.

At Naledi, every contribution matters. Whether it’s building relationships, offering practical skills, or lending a hand with upkeep, simple acts of consistent care help create a space where children feel seen, supported, and loved. 💙

Every second Wednesday, our Hospital Ministry Team visits the Oncology Departments at Steve Biko Academic and Tshwane District Hospitals to bring spiritual support and hope to 20 to 40 critically ill patients. For many, it is their first time hearing about Jesus.

One of our volunteer leaders, Alva Speksnijders, shares her personal journey, from experiencing the power of prayer during a family crisis to stepping into hospital rooms after retiring. While entering a cold, clinical space to meet people in deep pain isn’t easy, Alva shares how relying on the Holy Spirit and standing on John 15 gives her team the strength to pray boldly for those facing severe health challenges and to carry eternal fruit into tough spaces.

Whether visiting hospital wards or reaching out to those in need, this ministry reminds us that God’s hope can meet us right where we are.

A Faith Promise story of restoration …

When a young girl arrived in Abba’s care after being separated from both her parents, the team stepped in immediately – securing her essential SASSA support and placing her back in school mid-academic year.

At the same time, they reached out to her father, who had stepped back after years of painful family conflict. By providing a safe space to work through the anger and hurt, trust was slowly rebuilt. Today, he has stepped up to welcome his daughter back into his care, fully ready to embrace fatherhood again.

This past year, Abba Specialist Adoption & Social Services faced many challenges, but through it all they could see God’s special grace in the areas they serve in, and He made a way for them to continue to help vulnerable children, young women in crisis, and families navigating immense hardship – through crisis pregnancy support, work against gender-based violence, and youth empowerment in schools.
