HAPPY YOUTH DAY! 🇿🇦

To every teenager, student, and young adult who calls Hatfield Christian Church home: you are seen, you are loved, and you are never walking alone. And if you’re still figuring out where you belong, that includes you, too.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle of campus life and the constant pressure to perform. And in the middle of all of that – the noise, the comparison, the exhaustion – we want you to know: you don’t have to have it all together. Today, we just want to hit pause and pour out our love on you.

Days such as Youth Day remind us that God has always also moved through the young and the willing, and when we look at the young people walking through our doors, we are full of hope and gratitude.

The light you carry isn’t your own; it comes from the One who placed it in you, and we pray that the Lord would guard your heart, strengthen your faith, and guide your steps every single day. 🤗

We often think of worship as something we only do on Sundays, but it’s actually happening every day through whatever we depend on the most. When we look to our careers, our relationships, or our own control to secure us, those things quietly become our gods.

We become what we rely on, and we were made to rely on God. Realising that can feel uncomfortable, but it can also be the beginning of something freeing. And the good news is that God doesn’t wait for us to get it right before He comes looking for us.

Join us and and take a moment to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ … 🌿

Lord, I bring our persecuted family before You today. Please grant them an abundance of courage, joy, and an unwavering faith that refuses to break. Meet their urgent physical needs – food, shelter, and practical care – and surround them with protection and strength so they can love and bless even those who oppose them. In moments of deep isolation or hostility, remind them that they are not alone. Fill their hearts with a profound sense of fellowship and unity, and empower them daily to overcome evil with Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
