It's moving along! 🤍🤍

Construction is in the early stages at the Cape Town South Africa Temple site, where utility infrastructure is being installed and preparations are underway for the foundations of the three primary buildings—the temple, a meetinghouse, and an arrival center. These below-grade systems lay the groundwork for the next phases of construction. Work on the project has progressed steadily over the past six months. (Photo: Jan Tolman)

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the 2026–2027 area leadership assignments as well as adaptations that increase support in Area Presidencies to better meet the needs of a growing Church. These changes become effective on August 1, 2026.

Each of the following General Authority Seventies or Area Seventies serves as a member of an Area Presidency. There are no longer specific counselor designations.
