* Friday 13 May : InterProvincial PrePentecost Vigil (from 5pm till morning).
• Saturday 21st : Mothers, ladies wanting to have children and ladies who lost their children.

• Saturday 2nd : Altar Servers.
• Saturday 16th : Bo Mme Ba Anna.
• Saturday 23rd: Baradi Ba Anna.
• 30th : Men & Men’s forum including blessing of vehicles.

Other groups or parishes may organise their respective visits here too. We will only appreciate it if they tell us at least ONE month in advance so that we might prepare for them according to their needs

Lent (Old English for "spring"), 40 days of preparation for Passover (Pesach), is NOT in the Bible but 40 days as preparation for something holy is there.

Noah and his crew stayed for 40 days in the Ark when the old order was being wiped off and a new holy order restored (Genesis 6-7). Moses stayed 40 days and 40 nights writing the words of the Covenant dictated by God, he ate and drank nothing (Exodus 34:27-28). Elijah walked 40 days and 40 night on a meal provided by an Angel (1 Kings 19:8). Jonah announced left days for repentance: Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed (Jonah 3:4). Easy, Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.

Ashes. Abraham calls himself ashes to express his nothingness before God (Genesis 18:27). Job, when pained with life, he sat in ashes (Job 2:8). The king of Nineveh himself sat in ashes in repentance (Jonah 3:6). Guess what? God relented his decision to destroy Nineveh.

3 important things this time: Fast Give Pray. Denying of self, Giving Generously and Praying Intensely.

Let us immerse ourselves in this spring (Lenten) so that we receive summer (paschal) blessings
