🌱 PAUL PLANTED, APOLLOS WATERED, BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE

Different Servants • Different Roles • One Divine Purpose

📖 1 Corinthians 3:6–7 KJV

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”

One of the greatest dangers in Christian ministry is personality-centered Christianity.

The Corinthians were divided around their favorite teachers:

“I am of Paul.”
“I am of Apollos.”

But Paul corrected them:

📖 1 Corinthians 3:5

“Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed...”

Paul planted.
Apollos watered.
God gave the increase. 🌾

From a Dispensational perspective, Paul's distinctive apostleship and ministry concerning the Gospel and Mystery truth remain foundational. Yet Paul never used his unique ministry to steal God's glory.

This gives us 5 principles for Grace ministry: 👇

1️⃣ 🌱 PLANT THE GOSPEL

📖 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

“Christ died for our sins... And that he was buried, and that he rose again...”

Ministry begins with the Gospel, not entertainment, religious tradition, or human requirements.

📖 Ephesians 2:8–9

Salvation is by grace through faith, not of works.

Paul planted, but Paul could not save anyone.

The preacher delivers the message.
Christ accomplished salvation.

🔥 OUR JOB IS TO PLANT THE GOSPEL, NOT TO TAKE THE PLACE OF THE SAVIOR.

2️⃣ 💧 PROVIDE SOUND DOCTRINE

Paul planted, then Apollos watered.

📖 Acts 18:24–28

Apollos was “mighty in the scriptures” and became an effective teacher.

Believers need more than inspiration. They need doctrinal nourishment.

They need to understand the Gospel of Grace, their identity in Christ, the one Body, the Mystery, Grace rather than Law, Paul's distinctive apostleship, and the heavenly calling of the Body of Christ.

📖 Ephesians 4:12

The goal is the perfecting and edifying of the saints.

🌱 The Gospel plants the seed.
💧 Sound doctrine waters it.

3️⃣ 🤝 PARTICIPATE AS FELLOWLABOURERS

📖 1 Corinthians 3:8–9

Paul and Apollos were not competitors. They were fellowlabourers.

Different responsibilities.
One purpose.

Ministry should never become:

“My church against your church.”

“My followers against yours.”

“My ministry must be bigger.”

📖 2 Timothy 2:2

Truth is meant to be passed forward:

CHRIST → PAUL → TIMOTHY → FAITHFUL MEN → OTHERS

🔥 MINISTRY IS NOT ABOUT BUILDING OUR NAME. IT IS ABOUT PASSING GOD'S TRUTH TO THE NEXT PERSON.

4️⃣ 🚫 PREVENT PERSONALITY WORSHIP

📖 1 Corinthians 1:12–13

Paul would not allow people to elevate him above Christ.

Pastors are servants.
Teachers are servants.
Evangelists are servants.
Apostles are servants.

Even knowing Right Division can become a source of pride if we forget Grace.

📖 1 Corinthians 8:1

“Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.”

🔥 DON'T TURN THE SERVANT INTO THE SAVIOR OR THE MINISTRY INTO AN IDOL. CHRIST ALONE IS THE HEAD.

5️⃣ 🌾 PRAISE GOD FOR THE INCREASE

Here is the heart of the passage:

“BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE.”

📖 1 Corinthians 3:7

If people are saved, give God the glory.

If believers grow, give God the glory.

If ministry bears fruit, give God the glory.

Paul said:

📖 1 Corinthians 15:10

“But by the grace of God I am what I am...”

Paul labored abundantly, yet still acknowledged that God's grace was working through him.

Our responsibility is faithful labor.

God determines the increase.

Don't measure ministry only by:

▶️ YouTube views
⛪ Church attendance
💰 Offerings
🏢 Building size
👏 Public recognition

Numbers may show reach, but they don't automatically prove spiritual faithfulness.

📖 1 Corinthians 4:2

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”

🌱 WE PLANT, GOD PRODUCES.
💧 WE WATER, GOD WORKS.
📖 WE PREACH, GOD GETS THE PRAISE.
🔥 WE LABOR, GOD DESERVES THE GLORY.
🌾 WE REMAIN FAITHFUL, GOD GIVES THE INCREASE.

📣 WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

1️⃣ PLANT FAITHFULLY

📖 1 Corinthians 15:1–4

Share the clear Gospel of Grace wherever God gives you opportunity.

2️⃣ POUR INTO OTHERS

📖 2 Timothy 2:2

Don't simply collect Bible knowledge. Teach, encourage, disciple, and pass truth forward.

3️⃣ PRAISE GOD FOR RESULTS

When God uses you, don't say:

“Look what I built.”

Say:

🔥 “LOOK WHAT GOD'S GRACE HAS DONE!”

💭 FINAL THOUGHT

Never underestimate your role in ministry, but never overestimate yourself either.

You may plant.
Someone else may water.
Another person may continue teaching.

You may never see the final fruit of your labor.

But that doesn't mean your labor was wasted.

📖 1 Corinthians 15:58

“...your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

So remember:

🌱 PAUL PLANTED.
💧 APOLLOS WATERED.
🌾 BUT GOD GAVE THE INCREASE.

Different servants.
Different assignments.
One Gospel purpose.
ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO GOD. 🙌🔥

The Way of Salvation

God sent Jesus Christ to make a way out of this cursed world and to give us eternal life with Him.

Jesus did not come to condemn the world. He came to save the world through the sacrifice of His blood. God demonstrated His mercy by sending His Son so that mankind could have a way back to Him.

That is why God calls every person everywhere to repent and come to Jesus.

Salvation is not something we should take lightly. Jesus taught that the way to life is narrow, and Scripture warns that those who reject God's mercy and refuse His salvation will face judgment.

But the good news is that God is still calling. His grace is still being offered, and the door of salvation is still open.

Receive Jesus Christ. Believe in Him. Repent of your sins. Follow Him and obey His Word.

Those who belong to Christ have the hope of eternal life with God. Those who continually reject His mercy will perish and face eternal judgment.

The choice is before every person.

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Revelation 20:15

Today is the day to turn to Jesus.

Do not reject the greatest gift God has ever offered mankind. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Come to Him while the invitation still stands.

The True Sabbath

Many Christians, including entire denominations, believe that the Sabbath is still a day every believer must observe. Yet the New Testament directs our attention to a Person rather than a day. The Sabbath was never the ultimate goal. It was a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ.

From the very beginning, the Sabbath was not intended to be the final destination. Like the sacrifices, the priesthood, the feast days, and many other symbols throughout the Old Testament, it pointed ahead to Jesus Christ.

God rested on the seventh day after completing His work of creation because His work was finished. The Sabbath became a reminder that true rest comes only after the work has been completed.

Under the Law, Israel was instructed to keep the Sabbath every seventh day. However, the New Testament reveals that the Sabbath was only a shadow of a greater reality.

"Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."
Colossians 2:16-17 KJV

The Sabbath was never the substance. It was a shadow pointing to the One who was to come. That reality is Jesus Christ.

This is why the book of Hebrews moves our focus beyond a weekly observance and toward God's everlasting rest.

"For we which have believed do enter into rest..."
Hebrews 4:3 KJV

Those who place their faith in Christ enter God's rest. The emphasis is no longer on observing a particular day but on trusting the finished work of Jesus.

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."
Hebrews 4:9-10 KJV

The believer rests because Christ has completed the work. We stop trying to earn God's acceptance through our own efforts and place our complete confidence in Him.

This is exactly what Jesus invited people to do.

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28 KJV

The invitation of the gospel is not to find rest in our obedience, our law keeping, or our religious achievements. It is to find rest in the finished work of Christ. That is why Jesus proclaimed from the cross,

"It is finished."
John 19:30 KJV

Everything required for our salvation has been accomplished. There is nothing left for us to contribute, only to believe.

Just as God rested after creation was complete, believers rest because the work of redemption has been fully accomplished. Paul expresses this truth clearly:

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."
Romans 4:5 KJV

"Abraham believed and it was credited to him as righteousness" Genesis 15:6

The gospel is not about earning our way to God. It is about ceasing from our own efforts and trusting the One who has already accomplished everything necessary for our salvation.

Every Sabbath looked ahead to the day when the Son of God would complete the work of redemption and call weary sinners to find their rest in Him.

Our rest is not found in a day.

Our rest is found in Jesus Christ.

🔥 The Fire of God That Exposes What Needs to Be Consumed 🔥

Scripture Anchor:

"For our God is a consuming fire." — Hebrews 12:29

"And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." — Malachi 3:3

🌿✨🔥

There is a dimension of God's fire that many believers desire, yet few fully understand. We often pray for the fire of revival, the fire of power, and the fire of miracles. Yet before God's fire empowers, it first exposes. Before it crowns, it cleanses. Before it elevates, it purifies.

The fire of God is not merely a manifestation of His presence; it is also a divine instrument of purification.

When God's refining fire works within us, it reveals what the flesh has hidden, what pride has disguised, and what compromise has allowed to remain. His holy presence searches the deepest places of the heart, exposing anything that competes with Him for our devotion.

🔥 The purpose of exposure is not condemnation but transformation.

Many people fear being exposed because they associate exposure with shame. Yet for those who belong to Christ, God's loving conviction leads to repentance and restoration, not condemnation. What God exposes, He desires to heal. What He reveals, He intends to restore.

Consider Moses at the burning bush.

📖 Exodus 3:2

"The angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush."

The bush burned without being consumed, revealing God's holy presence and His call upon Moses' life. It reminds us that God's holy fire does not destroy what belongs to Him; rather, He works to remove whatever hinders His purposes in us.

🔥 God's refining fire consumes:

❌ Hidden pride

❌ Unforgiveness

❌ Fear and intimidation

❌ Self-centered ambition

❌ Spiritual complacency

❌ Double-mindedness

But it preserves and strengthens:

✅ Genuine faith

✅ Humility

✅ Purity of heart

✅ Obedience

✅ Love for God

✅ Kingdom purpose

Many believers ask God for promotion while resisting the refining process that prepares them for it. Yet throughout Scripture, God often shapes His servants before entrusting them with greater responsibility.

Consider the three Hebrew men in the fiery furnace.

📖 Daniel 3:24–25

"Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?... I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire."

When they entered the fire, the only things consumed were the ropes that had bound them. They emerged unharmed because God was with them in the midst of the flames.

🔥 Sometimes God allows us to pass through fiery trials, not to destroy us, but to free us from what has held us captive and to strengthen our faith.

God's refining work often exposes unhealthy attachments, destructive patterns, wrong priorities, and hidden wounds because He loves His children too much to leave them unchanged.

🌿 Reflect for a moment:

❓ If God's Spirit searched every room of your heart today, what would He reveal?

❓ What attitudes, habits, fears, or desires need to be surrendered to Him?

❓ Are you asking for God's power while resisting His transforming work?

Throughout Scripture, seasons of renewal are closely connected with repentance and wholehearted devotion. God calls His people not merely to seek His blessings, but to offer themselves fully to Him.

📖 Romans 12:1

"Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God."

A life surrendered to God becomes a fitting offering for His service.

🔥 The believer who welcomes God's refining work need not fear His searching light.

Today, pray not only for blessing, but for purification. Pray not only for increase, but for transformation. Ask the Lord to remove everything within you that hinders your love for Him and your usefulness in His Kingdom.

May every chain be broken.

May every hidden idol be exposed.

May every counterfeit desire be surrendered.

And may the character of Christ be increasingly formed within you through His sanctifying work.

🔥 When God's refining work has accomplished its purpose, what remains is faith that has been tested, purified, and brought to His glory.

📖 Zechariah 13:9

"I will bring them through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined."

🙏 Prayer

Lord, let Your Holy Spirit search my heart. Consume every impurity, every distraction, and every desire that does not honor You. Refine my character until the likeness of Christ is increasingly seen in my life. Strengthen my faith through every trial, purify my motives, and prepare me for every good work You have called me to do. May my life bring glory to You alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

📖 The Call of the Watchman 👁️📡🔥

Scripture Anchor:

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.” — Ezekiel 33:7

Every spiritual watchman is appointed by God, not self-chosen. Ezekiel's calling reminds us that the responsibility of a watchman is sacred: to hear the Word of the Lord and faithfully deliver His warning. The calling is not about position or recognition—it is about obedience, vigilance, and accountability before God.

Ezekiel 33:7 establishes a foundational principle: the watchman is appointed by God to guard His people. His responsibility is to receive divine instruction and sound the alarm when spiritual danger approaches. Silence in the face of God's warning is disobedience, while faithful proclamation becomes an instrument through which God calls people to repentance and life.

The call of the watchman represents:

• Divine Appointment: God Himself establishes the watchman.
• Responsibility: To warn, guide, and protect God's people.
• Accountability: Answering to God for faithfulness in the assignment.
• Obedience: Speaking only what God has revealed.
• Vigilance: Remaining spiritually alert in every season.
• Faithfulness: Standing firm regardless of opposition or rejection.

The struggle of the watchman often includes:

• Fear: Concern over how people will respond.
• Pressure: Bearing the weight of spiritual responsibility.
• Distraction: The noise of the world competing with God's voice.
• Weariness: Remaining alert through prolonged seasons of waiting.
• Testing: Enduring criticism while remaining faithful to God's Word.

Remember:

• The watchman is not self-appointed but divinely commissioned.
• Warning is not optional—it is a sacred responsibility.
• Silence concerning God's message carries accountability before Him.
• Faithfulness is measured by obedience, not by people's response.

From heaven's perspective, the watchman serves as a guardian entrusted with God's message. The Lord commits His Word to faithful servants, expecting them to proclaim it with courage, wisdom, and humility. Heaven delights in watchmen who remain alert, listening carefully to God's voice and faithfully caring for His people.

⚠️ What the Call of the Watchman Produces

• Spiritual Clarity: Messages aligned with God's truth.
• Protection: Lives preserved through timely warning.
• Godly Authority: Confidence that comes from speaking God's Word.
• Conviction: Hearts awakened by the truth.
• Testimony: A life marked by faithful obedience.

🚨 Signs of a True Watchman's Calling

1. Divine Appointment: Recognizes that the calling originates with God.
2. Spiritual Burden: Carries genuine concern for God's people.
3. Discernment: Hears and rightly handles God's Word.
4. Courage: Speaks truth without fear or compromise.
5. Accountability: Lives with reverence before God, knowing he will give an account.

🎯 A Response for Every Believer

• Recognize: Honor those whom God has genuinely called to watch over His people.
• Listen: Receive biblical warnings with humility and discernment.
• Pray: Strengthen God's servants through faithful intercession.
• Respond: Act upon God's Word with repentance and obedience.
• Exalt Christ: Remember that Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd and the One who perfectly watches over His people.

Beloved, the call of the watchman demonstrates God's loving concern for His people. Throughout Scripture, He raises up faithful servants to proclaim His truth, call people to repentance, and point them back to Himself. Receive every message by testing it against God's Word, and remember that every faithful watchman ultimately serves under the authority of Christ, the Chief Shepherd. May we all remain watchful, obedient, and faithful until He comes. Amen. 🙏🔥

THE SEVEN PROPHETIC PRINCIPLES OF WALKING IN THE SPIRIT

1. The Principle of Alignment

Before God releases revelation, He first calls us into alignment with His will. A spirit that is yielded to God is better positioned to recognize and discern His voice.

Scripture: Amos 3:3

"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

Your alignment determines your direction. When your heart is aligned with God's purposes, clarity, wisdom, and spiritual discernment increase.

2. The Principle of Spiritual Sensitivity

The Holy Spirit is always speaking, but those who consistently hear Him are those who cultivate spiritual sensitivity through prayer, worship, fasting, and faithful obedience.

Scripture: 1 Kings 19:12

"After the fire came a gentle whisper."

God often speaks in the stillness before He speaks in dramatic displays of power. A quiet heart is better able to recognize His voice.

3. The Principle of Consecration

Greater spiritual responsibility is often accompanied by deeper consecration. While the prophetic is a gift of the Holy Spirit, a life devoted to holiness strengthens spiritual discernment and usefulness in God's service.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:21

A life set apart for God becomes a vessel prepared for every good work. Purity sharpens perception and increases spiritual capacity.

4. The Principle of Obedience

Every revelation from God invites a response. Hearing without obeying limits spiritual growth, while obedience positions us for greater trust and responsibility.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:1–2

Often, the pathway to greater revelation begins with faithfully obeying the last instruction God has already given.

5. The Principle of God's Timing

God accomplishes His purposes according to His appointed seasons. Wisdom includes discerning not only what God is saying but also when He desires it to be acted upon.

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 3:1

Spiritual maturity recognizes that God's timing is just as important as His direction.

6. The Principle of Faith-Filled Declaration

Throughout Scripture, God's people respond to His promises by speaking His truth in faith. Our words should agree with God's revealed will rather than merely our circumstances.

Scripture: Job 22:28

As we declare God's Word in faith, we demonstrate confidence in His promises and submit our lives to His purposes.

7. The Principle of Faithful Stewardship

God entrusts greater responsibility to those who faithfully steward what He has already placed in their care. Revelation is not merely received—it is lived.

Scripture: Luke 16:10

Faithfulness in small things prepares us for greater opportunities to serve God's Kingdom.

Conclusion

Walking in the Spirit involves more than occasional moments of inspiration. It is cultivated through a life marked by alignment with God, spiritual sensitivity, consecration, obedience, discernment of His timing, faith-filled declaration of His Word, and faithful stewardship of what He reveals.

As these biblical principles become established in your life, you will grow in spiritual maturity, wisdom, and a deeper partnership with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Father, I choose to align my heart with Your will. Open my ears to hear Your voice and give me the grace to obey whatever You speak. Teach me to walk in Your timing, to faithfully steward every truth You reveal, and to speak Your Word with faith and humility. Shape my life by Your Spirit so that I may glorify You in all I do. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
