A place of finding Hope, Restoration and Joy
We stand in awe of our Heavenly Father, God...who has called us to serve Him at such a wonderful place, such as Glenhaven. We started out as the management couple of Glenhaven Campsite in January 2019. At the end of 2018, we had no idea that God had this in store for us! But after a time of seeking His direction for our lives, this new opportunity arose and we grabbed it with both hands...
Glenhaven is a unique Scripture Union campsite, as it can host a wide variety of groups and offers various types of accommodation options. From church and school groups, to fun family holidays and team building weekend aways. We offer both catered and self-catered accommodation options in our Group Centre. Glenhaven also has a very comfortable log cabin which is available for any family or group who desires a weekend away in the beautiful Berg, situated right along the Umzimkhulu River. Our Rondavel campsite offers a stunning tent and caravan site for those who prefer embracing the beauty of the outdoors.
So Dale and Sarah-Lynn spent holiday’s here in recent years. To Dale, Glenhaven is particularly a very special place- being the location where he attended numerous SUIS camps as a child. Where he found his love for Christ, Fly fishing, and camping ministries. Sarah-Lynn has been a part of the Scripture Union ministry in different capacities and has always desired to create a space of healing and restoration in such a beautiful setting. To both of them, this is simply a dream job and a little piece of heaven!
Above all, Glenhaven is God’s place and we sense that God is doing something NEW! We believe that those who pass through or stay here, will find hope, restoration and joy in Him.
