// AFM Family,

The first Pastoral Letter of 2026 speaks to the heart of our journey as AFM Church in this season. I invite you to reflect, refocus, and reignite your faith as we move forward together in purpose and unity. πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈβœοΈ Now available in English, Afrikaans, and isiZulu, it speaks across languages as we grow in unity, with an exciting fourth language on the horizon.

The Pastoral Letter is shared church-wide and is meant for the AFM Family as a whole – including pastors, members, and the wider Christian community. Thank you for distributing it within your areas of influence. Read or download your copy from the AFM website:

Pray for Peace in Middle East πŸ™

AFM Family,

CALL TO PRAYER πŸ™

We humbly request that our assemblies and members unite in prayer for peace in the Middle East during this time of turbulence.

As attacks continue and uncertainty weighs heavily on many hearts, let us lift up earnest prayers for calm, reconciliation, and the protection of innocent lives. In particular, we ask you to pray for the safety and well-being of our loved ones and members who are currently working and residing in the Middle East, that they may be sheltered from harm, strengthened in faith, and surrounded by divine peace.

May wisdom and compassion prevail over conflict, and may God’s guiding hand bring restoration and hope to all affected.

Yours in Christ!
Dr Henri Weideman
(President of the AFM of SA)

Our God is Love ❀️❀️❀️

// AFM Family,

LOVE THAT IS ROOTED IN FAITH ✝️❀️

Love is at the heart of every meaningful relationship and every healthy family, and it is something we learn and practise daily, not just on special occasions. Around this time of year, when hearts, flowers, and cards remind us of love in simple ways, it is good to pause and reflect on what love really means. From a Christian perspective, love is more than a feeling; it is a choice to care, to listen, to forgive, and to stay committed, even when it is not easy.

Healthy relationships are built when people treat one another with respect, patience, and kindness, following the example of Christ’s selfless love for us. In families, love creates a safe space where children are valued, spouses support one another, and differences are handled with grace rather than anger.

Strong families do not happen by accident; they grow when time is invested, words are spoken with care, and hearts remain open to God’s guidance. Whether between husband and wife, parents and children, or within the wider family. Love flourishes when it is rooted in faith, expressed through everyday actions, and strengthened by prayer. In this way, love becomes more than a moment of emotion - it becomes a way of life.

Yours in Christ!
Dr Henri Weideman
(President of the AFM of SA)
