This week, our school came alive with colour, culture, and pride as we celebrated Africa Day in the most beautiful way โ€” by wearing our traditional clothing and honouring the rich, diverse heritage that makes this continent so extraordinary. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿงก

Because Africa Day is not just a date on the calendar. It is a reminder to stand tall in who we are, where we come from, and the incredible continent we call home. ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ

Reading a play is one thing. Watching it come alive on stage? That is something else entirely. ๐ŸŽญโœจ๐Ÿ”ฅ

This week, our Grade 8, 9 and 10 Dramatic Arts learners headed to the Playhouse Theatre to watch the powerful production of "Have You Seen Zandile?" โ€” and what an experience it was. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’›

For our Grade 10 learners, this is a set work โ€” and seeing it performed live brings the text off the page and into their hearts in a way that no classroom reading ever could. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ“š That is the kind of learning that leaves a mark. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒŸ

And for our Grade 8 and 9 learners โ€” being exposed to live theatre at this level stretches the imagination and plants seeds that grow into a lifelong love of performance and storytelling. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

From the moment the curtain rose to the final bow, our learners were immersed in powerful storytelling, rich South African narrative, and extraordinary performance. ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐ŸŽŠ

To our Dramatic Arts learners โ€” the stage taught you something today that goes beyond any set work. It reminded you why the arts matter. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽญ
