Paul wrote letters to address specific situations, but the Gospel we preach is found in the first four books of the New Testament. Peter cautioned that Paul's writings can be hard to understand, and those who misinterpret them may face destruction.

Jesus used parables to teach, and His disciples asked why. He did so to make truths understandable to some, while others might be misled due to a lack of understanding of the Scriptures.

Some don't read the Bible themselves but copy what pastors teach, risking being led astray. Teaching a wrong message can lead to judgment on the judgment day. People might end up worshipping pastors instead of understanding Jesus.

Christians must read and understand God's Word. Jesus wanted to have a Passover event, but the owner of the land refused.

His disciples suggested destroying those who refused, like Elisha's actions, but Jesus rebuked their spirit, saying His mission differed โ€“ He came to give life, not destroy.

Jesus said His followers often fail to understand Him. Some mimic Old Testament prophets' actions and end up praying wrong prayers or acting in harmful ways.

The book of Hebrews speaks of the old and new covenants, which can seem foolish to those still infants in God's things.

We shouldn't undermine people because of their age; rather, we should seek understanding. The Old Testament was a shadow of what would happen in the New Testament.

Jesus looks at the heart of a person, not outward appearance โ€“ this doesn't mean we should be careless about how we present ourselves.

Paul spoke about praying with a clean inner spirit, not just outward actions. He addressed how men and women should conduct themselves, emphasizing inner decency and cleanliness of lifestyle.

Peter highlighted caring for the inner person over external adornment. Jesus taught not to worry excessively about things, focusing on inner decency that aligns with outward conduct.

Decorate your heart more than your body.

Prayer: Pray for spiritual growth and understanding.

Sunday Morning Service, 31 August 2025.

Sermon preached by Bishop Selowa

Title: The Fruit of the Holy Spirit and the Works of the Flesh.

Scripture references:
Romans 8:11,
Revelation 20:13,
John 16:12, and 14:26.

The Bible says, "But if the Spirit that raised Christ lives in you, He will give you life." This means there is a possibility that the Spirit may not live in you.

John spoke about the day the trumpet will blow, and anyone who has ever lived, is living, or will be born before the trumpet blows will stand before judgment. Every soul that has ever lived as a human will stand before the throne.

The moment you accept Jesus in your life, you obtain Jesus' life. Everyone has eternal life, but it depends on which side of eternity you are on. Some will spend eternity with Christ, while others will spend it in fire.

Paul says, "The Spirit that raised Christ lives in you shall give you life." No one can change the character of their life, no matter how powerful they are. Without having Jesus in your life, you are dead. Jesus doesn't care about your life, but He wants us to accept His life in us.

Our lives are very wicked, which is why we need His life to cover our lives, so we can have a new life. No one can run away from sin, but we need Jesus to cover us.

Paul was talking about the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He said that if the Spirit that raised Jesus is in you, it will enable you to bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Jesus said He would send another installment in us, which is the Holy Spirit, and that the Holy Spirit would guide us on how to live.

There is no other way; the Holy Spirit can lead you to live like a child of God. Acting against the Spirit is not the fruit of the Spirit but an act of the flesh.
The Holy Spirit brings order everywhere because He knows our whole being.

Whoever lives according to the Spirit will bear fruit. The Spirit gives life, and those who live without the Spirit are dead. You are living because of the Spirit, and the fruit will be revealed.

Nobody needs to change you; you change when you live according to the Spirit. When you are married, as the mother of the house, you will behave accordingly because of the Spirit.

However, the moment you behave like a man in the house, that shows the work of the flesh. No woman can call a man to order, but a woman who has the Spirit will be submissive to her husband.

Those who are g**s and le****ns - the Spirit living in them will guide them to behave accordingly. However, Paul says that when the Spirit that raised Christ from death lives in you, it can change every character in you. When the Holy Spirit comes to you, you will be a new creation.

But why do some people who are born again still live like they are not? If you continue to live without respect and continue to live the same way even after being born again, what kind of spirit is living in you?

You continue to give more works of the flesh. Where is the goodness, love, and position of your life? Why do you miss the life that is promised by the Holy Spirit, which comes with a heavenly culture? The Holy Spirit knows your state as a human.

There are things you cannot do as a Christian. He says, "I am the invisible God, but My works will be visible." There is no other way you can do things for God for showoff. You will do things as a reflection of the heavenly culture.

He said to duplicate what is in heaven here on earth. Why do you continue to fake your life? Where did you copy the character that you are showing off?

There is no division in the things of God; there is no way you can stand alone in the things of God. Which spirit causes you to hate each other in church? The Holy Spirit comes from God, and there is no fear of how your life will be, for you are with God.

People end up standing alone because they open a portal in their lives when they denounce themselves.

God will forgive you, and He will never recall what you did. Remember the prodigal son; his father was waiting for him to come back and saw him from a distance, knowing it was him after years.

Prayer: Acknowledge your life and allow the kingdom of heaven to come to you.

Amen.

Sermon preached by Bishop Selowa

Title: Repentance.

Scripture reference:
Matthew 4:17, Galatians 5:18-20.

This is the message that brought Jesus to earth. Was this the purpose he came for Repentance.
means restoration; it means something lost must be restored to its original state.

To lose your way means you must return to your roots. Jesus knew you from the start and saw humanity's potential. He wanted to see humans restored. Jesus said, "Repent, for the kingdom of God is near."

He knows your true identity and where you belong. You decide whether to stay worldly or return to your spiritual origin.

You choose your actions in the flesh, but the spirit produces its fruit. Those who repent will see spiritual growth. Born-again individuals will bear fruit regardless of circumstances.

Those living by the flesh always oppose spiritual things. The prayers of fleshly and spiritual prayer differ. The flesh can't overcome the spirit; it lacks understanding of spiritual things.

No one can help until you decide to turn to the spirit. The spirit aligns with what spiritual people desire, knowing their true nature.

Humans are often consumed by fleshly desires, criticizing and hiding their true intentions. Some in church may harm those who are spiritual.

Jesus said, "Repent and follow my teachings." God guides us, and we decide to follow the right path. We're all working together in God's house.

Don't let anything distract you from your faith. Jesus said, "Repent," because some things, like healing and deliverance, aren't problems. Repentance is complete; there's no halfway.

Some things may seem unclear from a distance, but experience prepares you. You may not understand God's ways, but repentance brings heavenly culture and reveals God's character.

Some are offended by spiritual discussions but engage fully in worldly conversations.

People judge based on their understanding.

Repent, for God loves you. People work hard for the gospel; even small acts of gratitude make an impact.

People often forget God in times of abundance. Prioritize God out of everything.

Prayer: Seek God's guidance pray for what's wrong in your life.

Amen ๐Ÿ™.

Sermon preached by Bishop Selowa

Scripture reference
Hebrews 8:5, 11:6, 11:31-33.

When people attend church, not everyone comes for God, but they have personal agendas.

Attending church based on the pastor's work and teachings, after which they want to take personal responsibility.

If you can despise your parents and idolize your pastor, that's absurd.

If you don't appreciate the people who played a significant role in your life and instead value those who didn't, you're deceiving yourself.

People may claim to pray, fast, and engage in all Christian activities, yet they attribute their successes to these actions rather than God's grace.

You can't acknowledge God if you disregard your parents. A mango tree can shed a leaf and automatically replace it. The moment you disrespect God, He can replace you.

If you attend church solely for specific needs, you're not yet born again, similar to those who visit traditional healers for protection; they'll return when they're in need.

Without faith in God, nothing can be achieved. Some people don't reflect on themselves, but due to their faith in God, they believe they'll get married, and it happens.

Sarah followed Abraham wherever God instructed him to go, demonstrating faith. We often compare our experiences with God's promises. The barren woman believed in God, and through her, we're all here today.

Many people today remain unhealed or struggle with challenges because of the doubts they've heard, leading them to fail God.

Sarah never saw the multitudes God promised, but she was told she'd give birth, and the Messiah was born through her lineage.

Abraham trusted and believed in God. Why can't we have faith like they did, especially with the testimonies and proof we have?

Attending church for healing, prophecy, and blessings without being born again misses the point of God's kingdom.

People who abandon church aren't born again; if they were, they wouldn't leave. The prophet Isaiah prophesied about the coming child, though he never saw Him, and the child did come. He died so we might share His life.

When performing miracles, people often think it's magic because they don't believe. Spiritual things seem foolish to those who aren't born again; they don't know Jesus, who can do everything.

Some say God can't accomplish anything without their efforts. That's not how we worship God. No miracle can be seen without faith; without faith, we can't please God.

When you replace God with other things, you're no longer in Him. People condemn themselves due to their mistakes. Rahab, the pr******te, was able to protect God's spies because she had faith.

Prayer: We often fail to achieve things due to lack of faith. May we achieve things through faith and not be hindered by our lack of trust in God.

Amen.

Sunday morning, 27 July 2025.

Sermon preached by Bishop Selowa.

Scripture references:
Hebrews 8:6, John 10:27.

The old covenant and the new covenant. If we don't understand what was required in the Old Testament, we will continue to act in vain and find that our works are for nothing.

Back then, the Israelites had a specific covenant for them only. Today, it doesn't matter if you're born into a pastor's family or not;

the new covenant requires anyone who confesses with their mouth that He is God. You won't believe in God if you're not taught, but you believe when you're taught.

There are people who go to church seeking solutions to their problems, hoping to find help. However, if they fail to find it, they often turn away from the church.

A person must know what it means to be a Christian. What did Jesus do that today we want to replicate? God designed everything according to His way.

There will be a time when our souls will leave our bodies, and nothing can stop that. We can control some things, but others are beyond our control. Jesus has a say after our souls depart from our bodies.

For example, a lady may have five boyfriends, but despite that, she doesn't have the power to decide which one she'll marry.
There are things we may have power over, but our power is limited.

In the Old Testament, Moses was able to shout for the sheep, but in Christ, Jesus says, "I know my sheep." Why do people try by all means to save their lives when they know they don't have the power to save them? Jesus said He gives eternal life.

People can go to great lengths to get their needs met, but Jesus, who gives life, often seems unknown to what we need in our families as we keep pushing Him to give us what we need.

He says He gives eternal life to His sheep, and no one can sn**ch them from His hand. What power can take you from His hand? He says that on that day, no one will take you; you will be the way Jesus wants you to be.

He says, "I was given these people by my Father." What can push you to be far away from God? Even if they sabotage you in different ways, you will remain strong and unshaken by different circumstances.

Don't go to Christ because you want benefits. If you pray to kill your enemies like in the Old Testament, you're wasting your time. The New Testament says pray for them to be one with the Father.

We're not going because of whatever, but because Jesus has already shaped the way. There's nothing we can create and implement, but God walks in the finished work Jesus has done.

Have understanding and accept Jesus in your heart; that's what's required. God said He gave His Son so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.

He promised that He will be with us until the end of the world.

Read the Bible and understand it; don't be fooled. We've been given a better covenant to be unshakeable.

We pray to God as if it's a ritual to shout at Him, but God doesn't work like that. We read, pray, and need to have understanding. If we fail to do so, we'll follow whatever others recommend.

In the old covenant, you and your family could sacrifice the blood of goats for the sake of your sins. But the new covenant says whoever believes in Me, no matter how you are, as long as you go to Him and believe, He comes to you.

Many pastors' children are forced to follow Jesus, while your duty is to preach to them, and they will decide to follow Him. A person has a given role to decide, and every decision has an outcome.

Many people struggle because of the decisions they took, thinking it's good to take decisions for them.
He says, "Come to me, and I will give you life."

Prayer:
God, help us to remain in you despite the situation.

We harden our lives while Jesus makes it simple for us. God didn't make it hard for you to go to Him but made a simple way for you to go to Him.

Amen๐Ÿ™

Scripture references: Genesis 16:1-16, 17:1-27, 21:1-7; Ephesians 1:20, 2:11-22; Romans 10:3, 9:30-33, 10:16; John 1:12, 10-16. Title: Revolution.

Ishmael's father was Abram, but Isaac's father was Abraham; however, the Father was one.

Isaac was born with purpose.
Just as the Old and New Testaments differ, the God remains the same.

The foundation of Jesus Christ's teachings is where Jesus is the cornerstone, which differs from the foundation of the Old Testament.

We can accomplish great things, but without a connection to Him, we are nothing in His eyes.

The Israelites were referred to as children of God, but we are not called Israelites; instead, we are called children of God because we accept Him or are born again.
In contrast, the Israelites were known as the nation of God.

Having fear of darkness indicates that you are not yet a child of God, for everything bows down to Him. As a child of God, you must be fearless.
A child of God will never flee from the church, intimidated by humans.

All the heathens were excluded from the Gentiles, and the children of Israel were the only called generation.

That's why other nations started circumcising themselves to be included in Abraham's covenant. People were just living, so they created ways to connect with God.

However, God didn't wait for us; He drew us closer to Himself through Jesus Christ's blood.

Jesus is our peace, which means we are fearless like lions. Christians should recognize their identity as children of God and not be fearful.

Christians bring fearlessness in various circumstances. Believers must dominate their territories; we don't seek our place, but we are His children.

There was a dividing wall between the children of Israel and other nations - the circumcision of Abraham. Now, however, we are all included as His children.

Jesus subjected all powers, visible and invisible, to Himself. Even those who sell items claiming power are less powerful than Jesus.

You are no longer strangers to God; we are part of God's household. We used to be consumed by fear, but now we are free from it.

The new foundation, which includes everyone, starts with prophets and apostles, and Jesus is the cornerstone. Through Him, the foundation becomes a strong, unified house.

Fear is our adversary; many can live their desired lives, but fear holds them back. People bring different amounts of money from various places to offer in church, but once it's in the basket, it's all considered an offering.

When you discover your true self, you'll recognize your enemies. In the Old Testament, Israelite women wore head coverings as a law, but Jesus said the law was flawed.

Prayer:God, I thank You for making me a candidate for heaven. Many people receive different sermons but struggle to understand them. Yet, we eventually grasp the message. We should be grateful for the undeserved privilege.

*Sermon Title: Who Are You?* by prophet Eugene

*Scripture References:
John 1:19-25, Romans 8:19*

Today, we're confronted with a question that people around us are asking: "Who are you?" This question isn't just about our identity; it's about our purpose and our relationship with God.

We see John the Baptist being asked this very question. He responded powerfully, speaking about his role, purpose, and the One he was baptizing for.

As believers, we must be able to answer this question, not just for ourselves, but for the world around us. The question may come in the form of an attack or a challenge, but we have the power to respond with faith and confidence.

When Moses was sent to Egypt, God told him to say, "I AM WHO I AM". This is the same confidence we need to have when faced with the question, "Who are you?"

The earth is asking eagerly with expectation of the sons of God to manifest. This question is, "Who are these sons?" Some of our answers or lives may not be relevant to the question asked.

Pharisees knew too much law but never knew about Jesus Christ. The phrase says all creatures are asked this question in hope of a response.

Even spirits and situations ask this question. That indeed, you will be able to stand strong after you're asked, "Indeed, you are a son of God"; that's what will reveal your standing.

But some may take pride, saying, "I'm not Christ, but He lives inside me." Other questions may be, "Why do people die while you're His sons?" But in response, we are given power not to fear.

After some saw Paul performing miracles, they imitated him, and demons asked them this question. After failing to answer, they were attacked brutally because they didn't have the same authority Paul had.

Also, disciples of Jesus were speculating that people say this and that about Jesus, but Peter was able to answer the question because the answer was revealed by the Holy Spirit.

Your children may be attacked by diseases, and the question may be asked of you. Some are spiritually gifted, and the question may be asked with a follow-up that they must do ancestral things to see if indeed you know yourself or not.

The Bible says at the end, stand strong in the Lord, for there are weapons sent to attack you. Do we have answers to overcome situations?

The world is asking, are we going to defend with faithfulness? Like John, who said, "I'm not the Messiah, but the voice speaking about him," will you answer that we are more than conquerors if they ask?

The question comes in different circumstances. Are you going to stand for this question or not? Let us stand still to answer this question.

*Prayer*

Let us stand still to answer this question.

Amen.

Sermon delivered by Sesi Phindile

Title: Are You a Child or Elder Before God?

Scripture References:
Matthew 18:1, 6:25

As children, we are taught to obey and respect our parents. The Bible reminds us that greatness lies in humility, likening it to the innocence and trust of a child.

Children don't hold grudges; instead, they trust and obey without condition.

Similarly, we must submit to God's will and obey His instructions, just as children obey their parents.

The question is, if we fail to obey God's instructions through His servants, can we truly claim to obey Him? As children of God, we must examine ourselves and ensure we are walking in humility and obedience.

Every earthly parent desires the best for their child; how much more does our Heavenly Father desire good for us?

Do we humble ourselves before God's servants, or do we follow our own desires? Our obedience is a testament to our relationship with God.

It's not about being exempt from challenges or hardships, but about trusting in God's provision and care.

Despite His blessings, we often fail to obey His commands, such as caring for the needy. This disobedience brings shame to God's name and hinders His work.

We must recognize that our actions either fulfill or hinder God's plans. Time is of the essence, and we will be held accountable for our actions.

Instead of blaming external circumstances, we must examine our own hearts and actions. As God's children, will we do His will, or will we follow our own paths?

We often worry about earthly concerns while neglecting spiritual matters.

Are we bearing fruit as children of God, or are we barren? The Bible likens us to soil that should bear fruit for God's glory. We must soften our hearts to obey God's will and follow His instructions.

Unfortunately, we often fail to obey God and prioritize our own interests. We attend church on Sundays but neglect to live according to God's principles. but doing what's right before His kingdom, we fail.

People end up shouting for us to give, but we fail to. What do we say about today?

It's time to take action and live out our faith. When we fail to help those in need, despite God's blessings, we forget to do what He has commanded us.

The greatness of being a child of God lies in humility and obedience, not in our own self-will.

Amen.
