*Daily Devotion: When Pharaoh Whispers Compromise*

*Devotional Thought*
Pharaoh still speaks in our time, though his language has changed. He no longer says, "Do not worship," but whispers, "Worship just not with everything." Be spiritual, but keep your values flexible. Serve God, but leave your family patterns untouched. Follow the call, but secure your comfort first.... These are modern negotiations of bo***ge. Many believers are permitted prayer so long as it does not govern their decisions, allowed faith so long as it does not reorder their finances, and granted morality so long as it does not challenge cultural norms. Children are left behind to be discipled by systems, time is surrendered to busyness, and possessions remain under fear rather than faith. What is left in Egypt becomes the tether that limits freedom. Yet the demand of God remains unchanged: "Not a hoof will be left behind." God does not seek partial allegiance, because partial allegiance preserves hidden ownership. Jesus declared this absolute claim: *"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon"* (Matthew 6:24).... The impossibility of dual allegiance is not God's preference but spiritual reality whatever remains under Egypt's influence will eventually assert control.
Worship that excludes obedience is performance, and faith that avoids cost is negotiation. True deliverance begins when believers refuse to compartmentalize their devotion and instead allow the Lord to lay claim to every realm home, work, thought, desire, and future....
