THE LOST TREE...
CHAPTER 2:
My uncle was a gentleman of some sort, straw hat, bell bottom pants, checked shirt and leather coat. Not forgetting the old style brown leather bag that carried enough for him and no one else.
As the door was flung open by the conductor, my uncle stepped out with a bright smile and immediately dipped his hand in his pocket and it came out full of bright & colorful sweets and in no time we were chewing.
As we walked to the compound,he teasingly asked, "do you still want to go to university?", to which I answered without hesitation,"Yes malume".
The walk was not too long and we were home in no time. Greetings quickly passed and next was the greatest news.
I had used Malume's town address to apply for university and the reply had come and was positive.
Everyone jumped with joy and ululation at the moment we heard what has made Malume come to the villages mid month.
Then in his sharp Tsotsi like voice he says, "Mzukulu we leave early morning tomorrow.
No time to say goodbye to my friends 😭.
No time to wash clothes, all would be sorted in the city.
And that was the dawn of a new error.
I was going to be a university boy kkkkk.
