's Promise of Restoration

18 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past."
19 "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

Themes:

1. Forget past failures and disappointments.
2. God is doing something new.
3. He will provide a way through challenges.

20 "The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen."

21 "The people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise."

2 Chronicles 20:20:

"...Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper." (NKJV)

Context:

King Jehoshaphat's victory over Moab, Ammon, and Mount Seir (2 Chronicles 20:1-30)

Key Points:

1. Trust in God (v. 20)
2. Believe His prophets (v. 20)
3. Obey God's word (v. 20)
4. God's deliverance and victory (vv. 22-24)

Jehoshaphat's Prayer:

"...O LORD God of our fathers, are You not God in heaven? And do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand, and no one can withstand You." (2 Chronicles 20:6)

Lessons:

1. Faith in God brings stability and success.
2. Obeying God's word ensures victory.
3. Trusting prophets guides decision-making.
