Gereformeerde Kerk Thabong, Meloding & Phomolong Uplifting the souls of believers In 1997; they called Rev.

In 1996, three Churches of Thabong (Welkom), Meloding (Virginia) and Phomolong (Hennenman), came together to form a partnership, in which it would make easy for them to call a minister who will serve them all equally. This came as a result of lack of funds and much unemployment in their areas, that would have made it difficult for each Church to have its own minister. Masilo Letebele, who was born

and bred in Thabong to come and serve them, and he's still working for these Churches until now. At a later stage, another Church in Thabong joined as an independent Church, and it was called Thabong East, but it was still served by the Reverend while still under the main one, which was later known as Thabong Central. This coalition started then, and it's still going strong, and it's about to reach a 20 year milestone, thanks to God Almighty.

Dumelang ba ratwang ke nna.

Last Saturday the 28/01/2023, there was a T.M.P. meeting held at Thabong Central, which was very well attended.

There is a serious concern about the decline of membership, lack of enthusiasm and the disorganised movements as well as the non-existant of other movements in the Church.

We therefore came up with strategic planning to try and bring the Church back to her former glory.

1. We decided that the Holy Easter Service be held at Phomolong, Hennenman, in order to lift up that church, as it appears to be the weakest one.

1.1. There won't be food available like before, except for the ones that will be for sale, in order to boost the Church financially, as part of Fundraising Campaign .

1.2. During the course of the service, we're planning to meet with all males of the church who will be present, to discuss the ways of getting more men from all T.M.P. Churches, by visiting all the Churches, and do a "mass house to house visitation", with the focus to all males of every house, with the intention of re-establishing Men's Movement.

2. We also agreed that the previous Reformation Day Service at Monyakeng was a starting point and a vehicle to the upliftment of the Churches, and that (with no intention of dictating over other Churches) this year's Reformation Day Service be held at Thabong Central, but not for Sunday only, but be from Saturday.

2.1. We agreed to invite all Church Councils in the Free State that we're working with, to come together like before when we still had Classis Mangaung, to discuss the matters of concern regarding our members (as we believe that Afrikaans speaking Churches are also meeting to discuss their own matters which they don't want us to know about).

2.2. But we plan to invite even all the Provincial Committees of the M.M.G, R.C.Y.M, S.S.Y.M, R.C.M.A.M, and even Men's Movement Committee (if there will be one by that time) on that day, to sit down together and come up with ways of growth for all other Churches in the Free State, and bring about good communication between Church Councils and Church Movements.

2.3. And on Sunday, all members will be joining their Church Councils and Church Movements' Committees for the main Reformation Day Service.

3. We intend to meet with the R.C.Y.M. Provincial Committee specifically, because last year this time, we decided that the Youth who are married and who are over the age of 35 be excused from being members, and to our surprise, that was used as a scapegoat by others not to attend church anymore.

We believe that the most sensible, wisest and tangible thing that the local committees concerned, together with the Provincial Youth Committee should have done, was to ask for a meeting with the T.M.P. Church Councils to get further understanding on that, but instead, they chose to ignore us, and to ignore the issue during their meetings, even during the conference.

We hope God will see that we don't only pray, but we make efforts to bring growth to His Church (since faith without works doesn't work) and help us bring enthusiasm back to His Church and to His children. Blessings 💕💕 to you all ❤️.

Last Saturday the 04th June 2022, there was a Free State Sunday School Teachers meeting at Thabong East. These are the following decisions taken:

1. There will be two conferences instead of one from next year. The mini conference to be held during the Children's Protection and Awareness week on first weekend of June that will start at Thabong Central. And the main conference will still be held on the national and international Children's Day in November.

2. There will be two Teachers' Meetings instead of one from next year. In February there will be a workshop that will help teachers what and how to teach children. And the main meeting of organising the conference in May.

3. The floating trophy to be given to Monyakeng children, seeing that they won it three times consecutively.

4. The badge of the children's movement be the same as that one of the church, but underneath it, there should be letters of the movement.

5. There should be a design for boys uniform, for any tailor to follow when making them.

6. The upcoming conference to be held at Rammulutsi in November.

7. The theme is found in Matthew 10:26b: "every secret will be made known".

8. The Bible Study will be in Matthew 16.

9. Topic of debate: Town Schools education is better than the township schools education.

10. Workshop topic to be decided on as time goes on. Blessings to all.

Dumelang ba ratwang ke nna.

On Sunday the 1st of May, it would be Workers' Day, and it is our intention to seriously pray for unemployment to end or be reduced, by praying for:
1. The unemployed to be employed.

2. The employed to be promoted.

3. The strikes for better salaries to be avoided, or yield good results for employees who are earning peanuts.

4. The business minded to be given an opportunity to own businesses and help the country with job creation.

Whoever would want to wear a uniform of where they work, or the uniform of where they would like to be hired is welcome to do so.

At Thabong Central there would be entrance cards valued at R10.00 each, and there will be a group of children performing after the Church service.

We already pray for you to get out of unemployment statistics and get into the employment statistics in Jesus name. Blessings

There was a Provincial Youth Committee Meeting held at Phiritona on the 2nd of April this year.

The anger of Rev. Letebele and the rage of the youth of Phiritona against the Provincial Youth Committee were at a boiling point to an extent that Rev. Letebele intended to leave the youth for this year, and the Youth of Phiritona intended to join the Youth body of another province.

After some discussions that made their anger to subside, the Provincial Youth Committee was tasked to do the following:

1. To write letters of apology to both the Youth and the Church Councils of Phiritona and Phomolong for the nonattendance of both the Youth and the Committee one occasions planned by the Provincial Youth Committee.

2. To visit all the ailing Youth Movements of Thabong Central, Botshabelo, Meloding, Rammulutsi and Thaba-Nchu, as well as nonexistent movements of Monyakeng and Phahameng Bultfontein.

3. The Youth Day Celebration be brought back to Phiritona and the Annual Youth Conference be brought back to Phomolong this year.

4. The Youth Summit be brought back to the table, and coincide with the 30 year Anniversary of the existence of the RCYM in 2023, Therefore, the Church Councils be asked to set aside the weekly Sunday Collections contributed by the Youth.

5. The Youth on the other hand, in addition to the Sunday contributions, they should hold two fundraising events on the first weekend of March and first weekend of August 2023.

The intention is to make the Youth to pay for the trip to and from the place that is yet to be announced, but all the contributions be used to pay for accommodation, food and the paperwork that will be involved in that double occasion.

I hope I have mentioned almost all that was discussed, and I hope all will accept them with two hands and make them materialize.

Blessings to you all. Love you.

People are dying in numbers, even members of our Church in different parts of the country, even in Lesotho.

Last weekend, two members of our Women's Movement in Mohaleshoek, Lesotho, a mother in law together with her daughter in law passed away and were buried.

Mme Ma-Windvoel, a member of our Women's Movement in Qwa-Qwa also passed away and probably buried yesterday.

Mme Elizabeth Lepele's daughter in law at Meloding, passed away and was buried yesterday.

Prof. Rantoa Letsosa's mother also passed away last week and was buried yesterday.

I'm therefore reiterating the call of TMP Church Councils that since people are no longer going to Church to pay their monthly dues, it's important for everyone to have the banking details of their churches, in order to make it easy for them to be helped when troubles befall them.

Thabong Central's ABSA Account: 4069373054/ FNB Account: 62007213101

Meloding's ABSA Account: 1290340175

Phomolong's ABSA Account: 0930340111

Thabong East's ABSA Account: 4076458013 or 4076458704.

Please make yourselves a favour and keep being up to date. Love you and be blessed.

For your safety, the Church Council of Gereformeerde Kerk Thabong Central bought surface sanitizers together with spray sanitizing machine and sanitized the whole church and its toilets.

Hand sanitizers are also present, together with the temperature sensing machine to make sure all are in good health before entering the Church.

The chairs have been sorted in a social distancing manner, and everything is in order.

I'm also glad that Thabong East has made all efforts to make sure everyone is safe.

As for other churches, I haven't been informed of the progress made, but I hope all is well as per our discussion. Love you all and be blessed.

Since the churches ⛪⛪⛪ have been allowed to operate, I have spoken to Church Councils, and here are the suggestions made:

1. Churches should be cleaned in and out. (At Thabong East, cleaning has already been done, and at Thabong Central it will be done on Saturday at 12:00).

2. The first 50 people to arrive will get the first service for the day, and all will be expected to wear their masks 😷😷😷😷. (Should there be more people, a second service will be arranged by each Church Council, and the time 🕖🕖 thereof).

3. Each Church will have to get a sanitizer 🚰🚰🚰 for all the congregants entering the premises.

4. Church Council have been encouraged to buy a temperature machine to sense everyone's temperature 🛁🛁🛁🛁.

5. It's recommended that the old, the sick and the children should not attend for now, except for old people who still feel strong and healthy to attend).

I hope all these are understandable to all, and please pass the message to all who don't have Facebook. Love you and be blessed.

Matthew 27:11-26, Jesus before Pilate.

When Jesus came before the confused Pilate, He found Himself with one notorious prisoner called Barnabas. Pilate had to ask the accusers who to choose between the two prisoners, Jesus and Barnabas. The whole crowd chose Barnabas whom they knew exactly that he was a hardcore criminal.

Between these two prisoners, Pilate knew and felt that Jesus was in fact innocent. But because he feared the crowd instead of God, he gave Jesus to them, but not before he literally washed his hands with water, as a sign of his innocence in Jesus' death.

Evening warriors. The injustice given to Jesus, can happen to anyone of us. False evidence or false accusations against people is something practiced on daily basis against many innocent people.

Should you experience something like this, know that you're not the first, your King went through the same, and you may be on the right track to heaven, where your King (Whom you're His followers) is sitting at the right mighty hand of God. Love you and be blessed.
