For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Theme: Meditating on the Word of God

Psalms 19:14 NIV
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

What is Meditation? Meditation means filling your mind with Scripture, whispering the words out loud, and thinking deeply about them day and night so God can use the truth to change your heart and actions.

7 PRAYER POINTS ON MEDITATING ON THE WORD OF GOD

1. A HEART THAT DELIGHTS IN THE WORD
Scripture: Psalm 1:2-3 - But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

Prayer: Father, give me a new delight for Your Word. Remove spiritual dullness and distraction from my heart. Let my heart hunger for Your Word more than for entertainment and social media.

Declaration: I declare I am like a tree planted by streams of water. My roots are deep in the Word. I am fruitful, flourishing and I prosper in all I do because I delight in the Law of the Lord.

2. MEDITATION THAT BRINGS OBEDIENCE AND SUCCESS
Scripture: Joshua 1:8 - Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Prayer: Lord, help me not to be a hearer only but a doer of Your Word. As I meditate day and night, let Your Word move from my mind to my hands, my choices and my obedience.

Declaration: The Word is on my lips continually. I am careful to obey Your Word, therefore I walk in prosperity and good success. For Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever!

3. EYES FIXED ON HIS WAYS
Scripture: Psalm 119:15 - I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.

Prayer: Father, in a world full of distractions, help me fix my eyes on Your ways. Let my meditation realign my vision, my decisions and my path to Your perfect will.

Declaration: My eyes are fixed on Jesus and His ways. I will not look to the left or right. My steps are ordered by the Word I meditate upon.

4. A LOVE FOR THE LAW OF THE LORD
Scripture: Psalm 119:97 - Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, kindle in me a deep, abiding love for the Word of God. Let meditation not be a duty but a love affair. Let me think on Your Word all day long.

Declaration: I love Your law, Lord! My thoughts are filled with Your Word all day. My mouth speaks wisdom because my heart is saturated with Your law.

5. DILIGENT MEDITATION FOR VISIBLE PROGRESS
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:15 - Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

Prayer: Lord, I give myself wholly to Your Word. I choose diligence over laziness in my spiritual growth. Let my meditation produce transformation that my family and world can see.

Declaration: I am diligent in the Word. I give myself wholly to meditation. My progress, growth and spiritual maturity are evident to all for the glory of God.

6. WORDS AND THOUGHTS PLEASING TO GOD
Scripture: Psalm 19:14 - May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Prayer: Father, cleanse the meditations of my heart. Let my inner thoughts be filtered by Scripture. Let the words of my mouth align with what I meditate upon and be pleasing to You, my Rock.

Declaration: The words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart are pleasing to the Lord. My Rock and Redeemer is glorified by my thoughts and my speech.

7. THE KINGDOM, POWER AND GLORY ESTABLISHED THROUGH THE WORD
Scripture: Matthew 6:13b - For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Prayer: Father, as I meditate on Your Word, establish Your Kingdom in my life. Let Your power break every stronghold in my mind and let Your glory be revealed through a transformed life.

Declaration: For Yours is the Kingdom - You reign over my heart and mind! Yours is the Power - Your Word is powerful in me! Yours is the Glory forever - My life will give You glory as I meditate on Your Word!

PRAYERS FOR THE GATES OF SOCIETY - THE WATCHES FOR TODAY

NIGHT WATCH 6PM - 9PM: FAMILY GATE
Focus: Restoring family altars of meditation.
Prayer: Father, we lift up every family. We repent for families where TV, phones and arguments are meditated upon. Tonight, let parents and children meditate on Your Word together. Let Joshua 1:8 be restored at the dinner table. Let homes become houses where the Word is on our lips evening and morning.
Declaration: We declare over the Family Gate: Our families delight in the law of the Lord! Our homes are trees planted by streams of water!

NIGHT WATCH 9PM - 12AM: RELIGION GATE (Belief Systems)
Focus: Purifying the pulpit and the heart of worshippers.
Prayer: Lord, in this watch when deception is high, we pray for the Church, pastors and all believers. Forgive us for meditating on traditions of men more than Your Word. Purify the Religion Gate. Let Psalm 19:14 be the cry of every preacher - that our words and meditations be pleasing to You, not to people.
Declaration: We declare over the Religion Gate: The Church returns to loving and meditating on the law of the Lord all day long! False doctrines fall, for Yours is the Kingdom!

MIDNIGHT WATCH 12AM - 3AM: GOVERNMENT GATE
Focus: Leaders who meditate on righteous laws.
Prayer: At midnight, we intercede for Presidents, Parliament, Courts, and Municipalities. Father, give our leaders hearts like David who meditated on Your precepts to govern justly. Let laws pleasing to You be made. Let corruption be exposed because leaders fix their eyes on Your ways (Psalm 119:15).
Declaration: We declare over the Government Gate: Righteousness exalts our nation! Leaders meditate on justice and truth! For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power!

DAWN WATCH 3AM - 6AM: ECONOMY GATE (Business & Finances)
Focus: Prosperity through obedience to the Word.
Prayer: Father, this is the watch for wealth transfer. We pray for businesses, entrepreneurs, markets and workplaces. Let businessmen meditate on Your Word day and night so they may be careful to do what is right and be truly prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8). Break greed and fraud.
Declaration: We declare over the Economy Gate: Our economy prospers through meditating on Your Word! We will not love money, we will love Your law! For Yours is the Power and the Glory!

MORNING WATCH 6AM - 9AM: EDUCATION GATE
Focus: Transforming learning through the Word.
Prayer: Lord, we lift up schools, universities, learners and teachers. In a generation bombarded with false knowledge, let Psalm 1:2 be restored. Let students and educators delight in the law of the Lord and meditate day and night. Let curriculums align with Your truth.
Declaration: We declare over the Education Gate: Our schools are filled with those who meditate on Your precepts! We raise a generation whose eyes are fixed on Your ways!

LATE MORNING WATCH 9AM - 12PM: SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY GATE
Focus: Knowledge submitted to the wisdom of God.
Prayer: Father, we bring inventions, AI, medicine, and science before You. Let scientists and innovators meditate on You, the Creator, not just creation. Let technology be used to spread the meditation of Your Word day and night. Let 1 Timothy 4:15 be true - let progress in this gate show Your glory.
Declaration: We declare over Science & Technology: True wisdom comes from meditating on Your Word! All progress will show Your glory, for Yours is the Glory forever!

AFTERNOON WATCH 12PM - 3PM: MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT GATE
Focus: Cleansing what we see and hear.
Prayer: Lord, this gate floods minds with meditation on lust, violence and vanity. Today we repent. We pray for filmmakers, journalists, musicians, and influencers. Let Psalm 19:14 be their filter. Let them meditate on Your Word and produce content pleasing in Your sight, our Rock and Redeemer.
Declaration: We declare over Media & Entertainment: The words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts in media will be pleasing to God! We take back the airwaves for the Kingdom!

EVENING WATCH 3PM - 6PM: SPORTS, ARTS & CULTURE GATE
Focus: Talents dedicated to God through the Word.
Prayer: Father, we pray for athletes, artists, and cultural leaders. Let them not meditate on fame and applause, but on Your law. Like David the Psalmist, let their art, songs, and sport be an act of worship. Let their diligence in Your Word cause visible progress (1 Timothy 4:15) that points all to You.
Declaration: We declare over Sports, Arts & Culture: Our gifts and talents meditate on Your Word! Our culture delights in Your law! For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, for ever and ever! Amen!

*Theme: Intercession and Repentance for South Africa – National Restoration*

*Introduction*
Today we stand in the gap for South Africa. Scripture shows a pattern: covenant faithfulness brings God’s protection and blessing, while covenant unfaithfulness opens the door to judgment, including loss of land, borders, and sovereignty. Deuteronomy 28 warns that disobedience can lead to “the foreigner rising above you… you will be the tail, not the head.” Leviticus 26 and Lamentations 5 mourn the land being inhabited by strangers as grief for broken covenant. But Scripture also gives the remedy: repentance, humility, prayer, and forgiveness. *2 Chronicles 7:14* _If my people... will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land._ Today we repent for national sins and intercede for restoration, justice, and God’s presence over South Africa and all its people.

*Opening Prayer*
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. On Wednesday 3 June 2026 we come before You with repentance and intercession for South Africa. We humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. We acknowledge every way our nation has broken covenant with You — idolatry, injustice, corruption, division, and neglect of the poor. Lord, have mercy. Heal our land. Let Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done in South Africa as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*Scripture:* Deuteronomy 28:43-44 NIV
_The foreigners who reside among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower._
*Prayer:* Father, we repent for breaking covenant with You as a nation. We have chased other gods — money, power, division, and self-interest. We confess the sin that has made us “the tail” instead of “the head.” Forgive us, Lord. Restore us to being a people under Your headship.

*Prayer:* Lord, we repent for lawlessness, corruption, and failure to guard what You have entrusted to us. We repent for injustice that weakens our walls. Forgive us for neglecting righteousness. Intercede for godly wisdom in governance, borders, and security that protects all people with justice and compassion.
*Declaration:* Righteousness is restored to South Africa’s walls. Justice and truth guard our cities. God gives wisdom to our leaders. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*3. Repentance for Idolatry and Foreign Gods*
*Scripture:* Jeremiah 5:19 NIV
_As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods... so now you will serve foreigners in a land not your own._
*Prayer:* Father, we repent for idolatry — serving gods of greed, tribalism, hatred, and materialism in our own land. Forgive us for trusting in idols more than in You. Turn our hearts back to You alone. As we turn from idols, restore our identity and inheritance in You.
*Declaration:* South Africa turns from idols to the living God. We serve the Lord only. Our identity is restored in Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*4. Repentance for Loss of Inheritance*
*Scripture:* Lamentations 5:2 NIV
_Our inheritance has been turned over to strangers, our homes to foreigners._
*Prayer:* Lord, we mourn with Lamentations. We repent for wasting, selling, and mismanaging the inheritance You gave this nation — land, resources, institutions, and unity. Forgive us for trespassing against future generations. Intercede for restoration of what has been lost and for wise stewardship going forward.
*Declaration:* God restores South Africa’s inheritance. What was wasted is redeemed. We are wise stewards of our land and resources. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

*Prayer:* Father, we repent for historical wounds, racial division, xenophobia, and personal offenses in our land. We choose to forgive as we ask You to forgive us. Break every cycle of bitterness. Heal memories and relationships between all people living in South Africa. Let reconciliation flow.
*Declaration:* South Africa chooses forgiveness. Offenses are released. God heals wounds and unites His people in love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

_I myself will lay waste the land... If my people... will humble themselves and pray... I will heal their land._
*Prayer:* Merciful Father, we humble ourselves and pray. We seek Your face, not just solutions. We turn from wicked ways. Have mercy on South Africa. Heal our land from crime, poverty, corruption, and brokenness. Let Your presence come and restore what judgment has touched.

*Prayer:* Lord, as You restored Israel after exile when they repented, restore South Africa. We intercede for Kingdom authority — leaders, citizens, and institutions aligned with Your will. Make us the head: a nation of righteousness, compassion, innovation, and hospitality. Let Thy kingdom come in every city and community.
*Declaration:* South Africa is restored under God’s authority. We are the head and not the tail. Kingdom righteousness fills our nation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Father, thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted. We have confessed, we have repented, and we have chosen to forgive. Now we ask: heal South Africa. Restore our borders with justice, our economy with integrity, our people with unity, and our land with Your presence. Let this day be holy to You. _Introduction_
Today we do not come to war first—we come to worship. Jesus taught us to begin prayer with, _“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.”_ Before we ask, we adore. Before we battle, we bow. The Father is seeking true worshipers who worship in Spirit and in Truth. Not in pretense, not in tradition, but in Spirit—alive, yielded, Spirit-led; and in Truth—anchored in the Word, without hypocrisy. Worship is our warfare. When His Name is hallowed, His Kingdom comes. When He is enthroned in praise, every gate bows. Today, from watch to watch and gate to gate, we worship the Father because He is worthy.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. We bless You, we adore You, we exalt You. You are holy, You are good, You are God alone. We worship You in Spirit and in Truth because You seek such worshipers. Forgive us for rushed prayers and heartless songs. Today we return to first love. - Prayer: Father, You seek worshipers in Truth. We cannot lift unclean hands. Wash us with the blood of Jesus. Create in us clean hearts. Deliver us from the evil of hidden sin that silences worship.
