Shalom greetings once again. I'm continuing with our theme: IN CHRIST or in Him.
"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." (Col.2:6-7, ESV).
I want to draw our attention to two things:
☆ Walk in Him
☆ Rooted and built up in Him.
Paul reminds the Colossians of the foundational teaching of Epaphras when they first became Christians. At the heart of this is the confession that Jesus Christ is Lord (1 Cor.12:3).
As a result of recognizing him as Lord (one who rules and guides), walk in Him. Let your steps be guided and ordered by the Lord. This will make a big difference in your life when you are deliberate and conscious that Christ is your Lord.
Secondly, be rooted and built up in Him. This means you are intentional in what you do. You read and study the Word, you speak to him daily in prayer, you share Christ with whomever you meet when opportunity presents itself, you partner with others who are in Christ for fellowship, mutual encouragement and allow God to use you to be a channel of blessing through your local church and wherever you find yourself. Rootedness and being built in him takes a willing heart and willing mind to trust and obey him daily.
May you walk in him and rooted as you build yourself in your most holy faith. A blessed day to you!
