Put a Demand on Yourself to Be FruitfulMatthew 10:16
Pastor Sizwe Mtiyane

Jesus said, "Be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves." This instruction challenges us to develop the right mindset for every season of life.

Many people wait for circumstances to change before they move forward, but success requires personal responsibility. God cannot bless you in your absence. You cannot guilt-trip God into doing what He has already empowered you to do.

Jesus chose the snake as an example of wisdom. A snake has many disadvantages. It has limited vision, cannot hear in the way other animals do, has no feet, and survives by sensing vibrations. Yet despite its limitations, it continues to thrive. Wisdom enables the snake to survive where others would perish.

The lesson is clear: it is possible to succeed despite your disadvantages. The snake does not make excuses. It adapts. It survives in deserts, forests, mountains, and difficult environments because it has developed the ability to adjust.

Many believers give up at the first sign of opposition, yet even a snake, cursed in Genesis, finds a way to survive. If a snake can thrive under a curse, how much more should God's children thrive under His blessing?

Jesus teaches us to have the personality of a sheep but the wisdom of a snake. We must remain humble, gentle, and Christlike, while also developing the wisdom, discernment, and adaptability needed to navigate life's challenges.

There is a time to pray and there is a time to fight. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak. There is no single personality that works for every season. Spiritual maturity is knowing what mindset and response each season requires.

A snake succeeds because of two key traits:

The Ability to AdaptSuccess belongs to those who can adjust without losing their purpose. There is beauty in adaptation.

The Ability to Stay CalmA calm spirit creates clarity of mind. Panic clouds judgement, but wisdom remains steady under pressure.

The question is: Why have you left your life to luck and chance when God has given you the ability to think, adapt, and overcome?

No environment is too difficult for a determined person. No challenge is greater than a mind committed to succeeding. Put a demand on yourself to be fruitful, productive, and victorious regardless of your circumstances.

When the Strong Become Weary
By Mrs Praise

Today’s sermon reminded us that even strong people become weary.

The Bible shows us that faith does not make us immune to sorrow, discouragement or exhaustion. Elijah sat under a tree. David cried. Job questioned. Hannah wept. Naomi became bitter. Jeremiah grew weary. Paul felt overwhelmed. Even Jesus said His soul was overwhelmed with sorrow.

Yet none of them were abandoned.

God met them in the cave, in the wilderness, in the ashes and in Gethsemane.

Today we were reminded:

• Your pain is real, but it is not your identity
• Your valley is a season, not your destination
• Do not build a house where God intended you to pass through
• God still sees, restores and strengthens weary souls

Psalm 34:18 reminds us:
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

If you are tired, do not give up.
If you are hurting, do not isolate.
If you are weary, do not lose hope.

God is still near.

A Soul That Thirsts
Rev. Praise Nkosi

Psalm 42:1-2

Sometimes life leaves us tired, empty, and dry, but the deepest thirst of the soul can only be satisfied by God. David teaches us that soul thirst is not weakness or unbelief, it is evidence that we were created for His presence. It is okay to admit when your soul is weary. God is not looking for perfection or pretence, He is looking for honest hearts that long for Him.

Psalm 42 reminds us that lament is also worship. To cry out, “Lord, I need You more than answers,” is worship. There is a void in every human heart that nothing else can fill except the living God. As Jesus said in John 4:14, whoever drinks of the water He gives will never thirst again.

The Love That Does Not Wait
Luke 15:20
Today we celebrate mothers because they carry a love that does not quit. Anything meaningful requires patience, sacrifice, and prayer. What you are building in your children and family needs consistency and love.
True love begins with the Father’s love. God does not wait for us to become perfect before embracing us. He runs to meet us where we are. God is not finished with you yet.
1. The Love That Pursues Before We Return Isaiah 49:15-16 God has not forgotten you. A mother’s love reflects God’s heart by loving even before love is returned. Never stop praying for your children.
2. The Love That Pursues Through the Mess Luke 15:20 Dignity said stay put, but love said run. The father forgave before an apology was spoken. Real love reaches beyond failure and shame.
3. The Love That Restores and Does Not Condemn Love restores instead of condemning. The voice you give your children matters. Let your words bring healing, encouragement, and restoration.

The tragedy of the prodigal son was not that he left, but that he could have chosen never to return. May those who return always find open arms and love.
