Today we acknowledged the loss that was experienced when Jesus died. And we celebrated what was gained when he conquered death. We chose to take off the grave clothes and walk with Jesus in the ressurected life. We get to live abundant lives, joy-filled lives, lives that reflect his peace.

Colossians 3:1-3 NIV
[1] Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [2] Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. [3] For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

All are welcome to join us tomorrow.

It was our first family dinner of the year and Ash Wednesday. As always it was a joy to be together breaking bread and fellowshipping. We took to discuss the significance of Lent and the importance of spiritual discipline.

Luke 9:23-27 NRSV
[23] Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. [24] For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it. [25] What does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit themselves? [26] Those who are ashamed of me and of my words, of them the Son of Man will be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. [27] But truly I tell you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”

As the Vineyard we mourn with those who mourn, and today, the 21st November we join the country in remembering the country's women who have lost their lives to gender based violence, in praying for an end to that violence and in calling on those in authority to prioritise addressing violence against women and children.

Join us in silence and prayer between 12 and 12.15 today.

Church, are you praying? Prayer is connection with the Almighty, with the Lord of All, the One who moves mountains, Him who parts the Red Sea, Who heals the sick and sets the captives free. It is connection with the One who wraps us in His love. He is our safe place, our refuge, our victory.

Make your requests known. Pray also for your friends and family. Pray for those that don't know the love of Jesusu. Pray for your church. Pray for your community.

We might not be great at posting regularly but  are having a great time at church. God is moving and we love coming together as a family of believers.

We are continuing are journey through Psalms. Last Sunday we looked at Psalm 50 where we were encouraged to make thankgiving our sacrifice to God. Today we looked at Psalm 51 and how to move from the prison of guilt and shame into the freedom of God's forgiveness and renewal. God has faithfully been speaking to us through each an every Psalm.

We love our church family. You are so welcome to join us.
