Crossword Church Somerset West As God’s family, and Christ’s disciples, we meet in one another’s homes and at Crossword Church to express the good news of Jesus in our daily lives.

On Sunday mornings at 9h30 we celebrate our unity in Christ. We are part of the wider family of the Reformed Evangelical Anglican Church in South Africa and adhere to the following:

​-The authority of the Bible as the word of God in all matters of faith

-The fallenness and helplessness of sinful man

-The necessity and sufficiency of the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ

-The necessity of

the new birth through the power of the Holy Spirit

-The requirement to trust and obey all that Jesus commanded in the power of the Holy Spirit so that we may become like Him as we endeavour to share His plan for the whole of creation

What does the Bible have to say about identity politics? What does it have to say about finding our identity, or defining ourselves? A difficult task, as the word 'identity' does not occur in the Bible. In fact, the Bible has a lot less to say about WHO we are (the subjective self) and a lot more to say about WHAT we are (the objective self). Yet we become our true, subjective, individual selves only when we align with the objective understanding of this WHAT.
