Lakeside Baptist Church, Sedgefield Join us every Sunday at 9:00 for our weekly worship service as well as Wed for Bible study at 19:00 The opening services began by meeting at the 'Forest Lodge'.

Our History
Lakeside Baptist began in February of 2005 with the express goal of glorifying God by reaching the community with the Gospel. Those present were from Sedgefield, George, and Knysna. In June 2005 a partnership was arranged with the primary school. Lakeside would complete building of the School Hall and in return the Church would have use of the hall for Sunday services. By September of

2008, the church was officially chartered. During this time Lakeside had the privilege of seeing churches started in George and Knysna as well. We continue to strive toward our goal of reaching the surrounding communities with the Gospel. We trust in the promise of our Lord Himself "I will build my church."
