God takes no pleasure in the death of the sinner and therefore constantly searches for hearts that burn ceaselessly like His, with a passion for the lost, with whom He can work effectively, by His Spirit.

He has shown us His love by sending Jesus to die for us. Now we ought to show o ur own love for him by taking the Message of salvation to the world.

Faith and Believing

Faith is a noun; Believe is a verb. An analysis of these two words may help you in trusting the Lord.

Believing, being a verb, is an action word-it really means "taking"; to believe in a Biblical sense means "to take", "to grasp."

To believe Jesus means to take Jesus for all that the Scriptures declare Him to be. To believe on Christ as a Saviour means to take Christ as a Saviour; to believe in Christ as a healer means to take Him as your healer and recognize Him as your healer.

Believing is an act of the will; when I believe, I have acted -having acted, I have reached what is called Faith.

Faith is a noun. I take a step-having taken the step, I have arrived. Arriving is Faith.

To believe, then, is to act on the Word of God. Faith is action. Doubting is refusing to act on the Word.

There are two kinds of Unbelief: first, a refusing to act on the knowledge of the Word that we have. This can be called unpersuadableness- we refuse to be persuaded to act on what we know to be true; we refuse to act in the light of knowledge.

The other kind of Unbelief arises from lack of knowledge of the Word. We do not know; hence, we cannot act. We do not understand; hence, we are afraid to act. We would act, but we do not know how to act.

The cure for this is knowledge; the cure for the other is obedience.

When you get into church today

Church is an assembly in the Spirit of God
Paul calls it the temple of God,by the Spirit ( 1corinthians 3:16)

There is power in the things of the Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 2:5)

It's ministered through men ,very importantly today ,your pastor and all those who will minister with him .

It's key to know how to receive from them and of them..
It's done by faith .

Galatians 3:5 KJV
[5] He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Miracles refer to display of power ,healing ,acts of power ,burdens removed and yokes destroyed .

Faith receives what is available by power .
Faith uses words.
Start speaking faith before the service starts .
The woman in Mark 5 spoke before and during the " service "

Mark 5:28 KJV
[28] For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

And her words ( faith ) Made her whole

Mark 5:34 KJV
[34] And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

If a healing session happens this morning and hands are laid on you or you are ministered to,don't sing or scream or even speak in tongues.

Speak your faith eg " hands have been laid on me,the power of God is working in my body effecting a healing and a cure " etc
Continue afterwards .

It works for everything you Believe for .

[23]....he shall have whatsoever he saith.

It will work even if pastor isn't planning a healing service ,just as Jesus wasn't in the woman's case,but faith gave direction to Gods power,it can receive during praise and worship too.
Don't forget to pray the Pauline prayers for pastor and everyone attending including you .
Pick up or call up or help someone get to church this morning .
Anything for the children's church ? Don't make church service about your needs alone !

What are you doing about your spiritual life ?

How much time do you devote to prayer and study of the word daily ?

Do you still do evangelism ?

Do you have friends you study scriptures together and pray ?

Do you invest quality time Into your spiritual growth ?

Is your church challenging you in this regard ?

When last did you minister to the sick or cast out demons ?

Are you doing well spiritually

This has nothing absolutely to do with your pay check ,business size ,societal status,which say NOTHING about your spiritual life ..

When last did you go on a personal retreat to wait on the Lord .

Acting On the Word

The greatest battle that any child of God will ever fight is the battle of Faith. We often wonder why it is so hard to believe God.

The reason is that we are surrounded by an antagonistic atmosphere that is presided over by the enemy of all righteousness; we live in his unreal world; we are surrounded by currents of unbelief so subtle that almost one does not realize them, and so resistless that only a few ever rise above them.

To believe in God for finances is a continual struggle against the materialistic currents that buffet us.

To believe in Christ for victory over sin is a battle during every hour of consciousness, with the spiritual hosts of darkness.

To believe in God for the physical body when one is ill is to put on a battle against the centuries of trust in medicine.

So it is not at all strange that so many break down in their faith-life and we should not be harsh or censorious against those who fail.

The solution to this problem is to develop a disciplined study, meditation and prayer life. Acting of the knowledge we acquire in these study sessions is not an option. What more? Consistency in this area will silence the voice of circumstances that foster unbelief and will produce in us miracle-working men and women of God.

The Word Makes Us Love

Until the Word prevails, John 13:34, 35 will never be known in the world.

"A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another."

Love was the prevailing power, that unseen something that governed the early church.

I John 4:7, 8, "Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God, and knoweth God . He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love."

Love here is proof of the New Birth. Only the lovers have evidence that they have passed out of death into life, because they love the brethren. "He that loveth not abideth in death." He has never received Eternal Life, the nature of God.

Only as the Word prevails in the heart do we actually know the reality of these Divine things. The Word makes us love.

I John 2 :10-1.I "He that loveth his brother abideth in light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him."

The Word of love prevailing in the heart takes a man out of the realm of weakness and failure, where his words will cause offense, and his actions will lead others to do wrong.
