Morning saints. We start off today with the first Chapter of the Pauline Epistles in the order that it is encountered and this is Romans Chapter 1. Here are a few pointers to consider as you study this scripure with us

We see from verse 17 to 32 what kind of environment the church of Rome was found
It's an environment very similar to that which we find ourselves in today in our cities, towns, workplaces where the following four things have become the case pertaining the relationship between people and God
1. They had known the truth about God and His power and existence but still continued in unrighteousness
2. Their self professed wisdom turned into foolishness as they started to turn to idolatry, and immorality. It is even specified how sexual immorality became rife as this process of corruption kept giving birth in the society
3. Further on the characters that they carried became more corrupt and inhumane as the distance between God and man increased up until it affected relationships among themselves as families and people
4. It further on describes how the result if all their doing was going to be death yet they had pleasure to continue still because their minds and hearts had not only been drawn to lust after wrong but further on had now been darkened and confused beyond any real sense

It is in such an environment that the apostle Paul encourages the church of Rome and exhorts them by first clarifying the Christ who came in the flesh was also the Son of God in Spirit and in Spirit was the who had called each individual unto Himself

The apostle also expressed his desire to come and impart spiritual gifts amongst them through which the power of God will be transmitted in their midst and further on into the corrupt environment they find themselves in order to conquer the enemy who may be using flesh and blood to do his work but is actually a spirit and can only be conquered by spiritual weapons. These gifts serve as the spiritual weapons.

The apostle expresses that his desire was to also see them to have fruit amongst them. This fruit speaks of the church's development and growth in the Lord through obedience and subjectivity to the faith which becomes the reason why the apostle received his apostleship as stated in verse 5

The climax of his exhortation is seen in verse 16 which is our conclusion for the study today

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth. To the Jew first and and also to the Greek"

Thank you so much for being part of our study today. We will soon be looking forward to start chapter 2 as we continue with the Epistles

Daniel 1
You eat the right food, you will have the right appearance and the right appearance will open up access to your rightful place

Does your world recognise the image of God on you?
If not are you ingesting the word of God which is the only way you can grow into the image of God deep within you?
If not how then do you expect to occupy the place that is rightfully yours as per the blessing of God stored up for you?

Keys of the kingdom 1: eat a word diet

Psalm 139:23- Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.

Anxiety leading to one being anxious- the tragic result of prayerlessness, the feeling that brings about confusion and fear when one looks at the future...

Fear- the absence of FAITH, caused by being anxious.

FAITH- the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Prayer- a doable thing that brings about FAITH in God, chases away ALL fear by cutting the root called anxiety.

And then the bible says:

Phil.4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Psalm 94:19 When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

How much truth in the words "God never gives us what we cannot handle", you may be feeling beat down and out of the "game" thinking you do not have in you what it takes to get to the other side but you are wrong, you are so wrong... the user manual is available, turn the pages and start reading, not only will you gain knowledge but you will also be revived... look towards the future with eyes of hope and faith and love, God will never leave your side...

May God bless you richly.

There are 2 ways to approach a thought
1. Anxiety as you depend on your own strength to encounter and address the issues that the thought entails.
2. Prayer as you depend fully on God's ability as you encounter and address the issues that the thought entails in your mind

This then gives the result of whether you looked at the situation and respond by faith or you react by fear

Jesus never took chances. He not only had faith but He understood how miracles work, that's why wherever He went, each time He declared or prayer on a thing, something happened
Study until you understand!!! Study will mould you and bring you to the place where you understand the supernatural. Then nothing will be impossible

We have been studying the issue of grace (charis) and the associated words with it chara (joy), charisma (spiritual gifting), charity (love). A powerful revelation was seen by studying Philippians 4 where the word says “rejoice (chairo) in the Lord” and in Hebrews 4 where it says “grace will be given in the time of need (where the time of need is the word euchairo which is the greek opposite for joy). Joy and need do not coexist because joy overcomes needs. That is why in times of affliction the best thing is to rejoice.

Sometimes being dedicated to God has even more to do with encouraging the next person to be more dedicated than for your own benefit

Psalms 29 study (24 July 2017)
The word of God is the most competent and most powerful voice of influence over the spiritual world
There is no voice that can influence the spiritual world like the word of God can

Making the power of the word work for you takes an understanding of authority
Matthew 8
authority of the word of God

We don't come into authority by rising above people but rather by submitting under Christ
