October is Pastor Appreciation Month
(I am not a pastor, so I am not posting this for my benefit.)

1 Timothy 5:17-18
17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

If you have a solid pastor... pray often for him... help him where you can... let him know he is appreciated... be a blessing!
If you are a pastor, strive to be an increasingly better pastor... laboring in the word and in doctrine.
If you have a good pastor... you are blessed!

Hebrews 13:16-17
16 Do not forget or neglect to do kindness and good, to be generous and distribute and contribute to the needy [of the church [a]as embodiment and proof of fellowship], for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
17 Obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them [continually recognizing their authority over you], for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare, as men who will have to render an account [of their trust]. [Do your part to] let them do this with gladness and not with sighing and groaning, for that would not be profitable to you [either].
