Step 6: Praise God

Psalm 32:11 NKJV
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.

Praise is a powerful weapon against the enemy. It opens the way for God to manifest Himself in your life. When you pray, you come into God’s presence but when you praise, He comes into yours. Praise silences the enemy and shuts his mouth. He shuts down his operations.

Psalm 8:1-2 NKJV
O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

You must learn to take the victory and shout in the face of the devil, “it is done.” There is no person who can doubt if they learn to shout. (Smith Wigglesworth)

Your enemies are turned back when you praise God.

Psalm 9:1-3 NKJV
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at Your presence.

So it’s time to praise. It’s time to give God glory, being fully persuaded that what God has promised, He will also perform (Romans 4:19-21).

Trust God, give Him praise, and watch how the Power of God delivers you out of trouble and moves you into certain victory.

Faith Confession
I will be glad in the Lord and rejoice. I will shout for joy. My enemies are silenced, they are turned back and perish at the presence of God. I am delivered from all my troubles and I have the victory.

All Will Be Well — Prophecy by Kenneth E. Hagin.

"Don't take up all your time with natural things. Some of those things are legitimate and it's all right to take a certain period of time there, but see to it that you give heed—watch, listen to, pay attention—unto your spirit.

And you give your spirit opportunity to feed upon the Word of God, and you give your spirit opportunity to commune with the Father above, and build yourself up on your most holy faith. It doesn't take a lot of time—just an hour or two out of 24.

Just pay a tithe of your time unto me,” saith the Lord, “and all will be well. Your life will be changed. It will be empowered and you will be a mighty force for God.”

Step 5: Trust God

Psalm 32:10 NKJV
Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.

The word trust comes from the word “train.” The more you train in something, the more you trust it. You trust the chair you are sitting in because you were trained in it. The more you find out Who Your heavenly Father is, that He is faithful, reliable and trustworthy, the easier it becomes to trust Him with your life and future. Even when you cannot trace His hand, you can still trust His heart.

Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

The word “direct” means, “to make smooth and straight.” While you are trusting God, He is clearing the way for you. He is removing obstacles that are blocking your way. He is making every crooked path straight and smooth for you. He is working behind the scenes. Even when you can’t see it, He is working. Even when you can’t feel it, He is working.

So today, let go and let God. Cast all your cares, worries, anxieties and concerns onto Jesus. He is Your Care-Taker. He loves you and He is waiting on you to hand it over to Him.

1 Peter 5:7 AMPC
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Faith Confession
I trust in You Lord. Forgive me for trying to do it my own way. I let go and hand this situation over onto You. You are my Care-Taker. I am anxious for nothing. I’ve cast all my cares on the Lord because He cares for me.

Step 4: Be Teachable

Psalm 32:9 NKJV
Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.

God is saying don’t be like a horse or donkey that can be stubborn at times. They put a bit and bridle over them in order to force them to go a certain way. God doesn’t force you to do anything. He wants you to be like a well-trained horse that just moves quickly when it feels that slight nudge.

If you are teachable, you are reachable. Stay teachable and be open. Don’t be stubborn and rebellious. If you want to come out of trouble, you need to be open and listen to godly counsel and instruction from God and others.

It’s so sad when you try to help some people, but all they have is “a know it all attitude.” They have a “you can’t tell me anything attitude.”

If you think you’ve arrived, then guess what? You are going nowhere. The person who thinks he has arrived and knows it all will never grow spiritually.

God knows the way out but if you don’t listen to His instructions, you will stay longer in your trouble and go around the mountain over and over.

So remain teachable. Don’t get offended at God or His spiritual leaders when they ask you to do something you don’t want to do. If you want God to teach you then you must be willing to be taught.

So, whatever Jesus tells you to do, just do it.

Faith Confession
Lord, forgive me for being stubborn and for resisting your counsel and instructions. I humble myself before You. I am teachable. I am reachable.

What a glorious Sunday in God’s presence!

As we gathered to worship and receive God’s Word, Pastor Lester continued ministering on the series Faith-Filled Words. We were reminded that our thinking must align with God’s Word, not the world’s way of thinking. When we agree with God and speak His Word, we position ourselves for victory.

We don’t agree with sickness—we declare healing. We don’t agree with lack—we declare God’s provision. We don’t agree with defeat—we declare victory and success in Christ.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this powerful service. If you missed it, catch up with us—the message is now live on our YouTube channel. See the link below. 👇

Step 3: Listen to God’s Instructions

Psalm 32:8 NKJV
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

You’ve confessed your sin to God. You have forgiven yourself. You are walking in love and forgiveness. You began praying. Now listen to what the Lord is saying to you. God is always speaking, it’s you and I that should be listening.

God knows the way out of your situation. He sees the whole picture. He sees the end from the beginning. He is only holding you responsible for the next step that you must take, and then He will reveal the next step.

In my personal life, one of the instructions I found God giving me, in order to come out of trouble victoriously, is giving. Giving makes a way of escape out of trouble.

Psalm 41:1-2 NKJV
Blessed is he who considers the poor; The Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

The key to miracles is found in John 2:5, “His mother said to the servants, ‘Whatever He says to you, do it.”

Whatever Jesus tells you to do, just do it. Don’t ignore and treat God’s instructions lightly. It’s connected to your deliverance out of trouble. So, obey quickly without hesitation or arguing.

Faith Confession
Heavenly Father, I pray and ask You to reveal to me the next step of obedience that You want me to take. I am willing and obedient. I will obey quickly without hesitation or arguing, in Jesus name. Amen

Step 2: Pray in Times of Trouble

Psalm 32:6-7 NKJV
For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they shall not come near him. You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.

God will hide, preserve and keep you safe from trouble and great waters when you pray. The more you pray, the more you will move forward, and the quicker you will come out. Instead of running to the phone, run to the throne.

James 5:13 NKJV
Is any among you afflicted, let him pray.

The word “afflicted” means troubled. The person who is in any kind of trouble must pray. We can and should ask others to pray for us in times of trouble, but don’t depend on others to do your personal praying for you. Your prayer avails much.

James 5:16 NKJV
…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Don’t pray the problem, pray the answer. The answer is in the Word of God. Find the scriptures in the Bible that cover your situation and pray that. Pray the Word.

Also, when you don’t know what to pray for in a situation, pray in the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit will help you pray according to the will of God (Romans 8:26-28 NKJV).

God will hide, protect, and bring you through safely to the other side.

Faith Confession
When I pray in faith according to the Word of God, my prayer avails much. God hears me and delivers me out of all my troubles.
