It is with profound sadness that the Pato family announces the passing of Bishop Pato, who died peacefully at his home on the 6 September 2026, surrounded by his family. He was 76 years of age.

Bishop Pato was, above all, a devoted servant of God who dedicated 51 years of life to ministry and to the service of the Anglican Church and its people.

To his family, he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. To the many people whose lives he touched through his ministry, leadership and faith, he was a priest mentor and spiritual father

We give thanks for a life lived in faithful service, for the example he set, and for extraordinary legacy he leaves behind.
