Today, we remember the courage of the young people of June 16, 1976, who stood boldly for justice, education, and a better future for South Africa.

As we honour their legacy, we are reminded that youth is not a limitation but a calling. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example… in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).

To every young person today: your voice matters, your faith matters, and your example has the power to shape tomorrow.
