We are so excited to celebrate Mpho Khalo and Pumla on their appointment as evangelist and women's ministry leader!

This amazing couple have faithfully served God and the Soweto region of our church, and we are thrilled on their behalf.

But here's what you may not know about them...

* Mpho became a follower of Jesus in August 2000 at UJ.
* Phumla was baptised in February 2000 in the teens ministry in Soweto.
*Mpho worked as a credit controller for 14 years before joining the full-time ministry.
*Phumla worked for Presidents Awards NPO
* In 2019 they were invited into ministry and had a "baptism of fire" during the Covid pandemic in 2020.
* They have three children (Gomolemo - 18, Oratile and Ofentse - 15).

This what evangelist Justin Renton had to say about them:

"Irene and I have been discipling them for the last five years and have become best friends. Mpho is kind, man of deep faith, gentle, fun loving, stable, serves on the board of HopewwSA and a great dancer. It is my great honour to appoint him as an Evangelist in the Kingdom of God."

What a family reunion we had — introducing the church leadership team, an encouraging message by Edwin Shumba, and the appointment of Mpho and Pumla as evangelist and women's ministry leader. We did not want it to end. To God be the glory!😇🙌🏼🫶🏼👏🏼

The Central-East region enjoyed a wonderful Women’s Day breakfast where their guest speaker, Lisa Comrie, helped them cultivate connection.

Highlights from today's service in the NW included a communion message by Bandile, contribution talk by Erick, a message on a different way to look at evangelism by Jake and three campus students, and a farewell sharing for Uncle Kelvin who is moving to KZN.
