Is S*x Sacred or Common, private or public..?

I read an article in the Daily Maverick on the controversies that surrounding a TV series called ‘This Body Works for Me’. This series brings to the public, s*x work and s*x workers.

The first season of the show follows the lives of a group of seven young black women in the s*x work and adult entertainment industry in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In this tv series, the cast members engage in various forms of s*x work where some only engage in erotic dance, while others have s*x for cash or create pornographic content sold online.

As a disciple of Jesus Christ, s*x is sacred and our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit.

When common s*x is also applied, s*x out to be very private. One of the major elements of s*x is nakedness. If is does not make s*x to walk the street naked, then it does not make sense to publicise s*x.

About 30 years ago, even pornographic content were scarce: limited to only ‘private’ videos and magazine. Today it is commonplace: on billboards, tv shows, tv series, movies and on the social media.

Satan is on rampage, blurring every line of order, decency, value and reverence.

Be careful when your child calls you pops instead of daddy.
Be careful to God ‘the man upstairs’.
Words such as Mr, Mrs, Miss, Elder are out of the window. Satan is gunning for the equalisation of all authorities and commonisation of all things that are sacred.

He is primarily attacking God and men. He wants to strip God and men of respect and honour. Some of us are following blindly as the ‘woke’ people. I pray we won’t wake up in Hell.

Now, children can call their parents by their first name.
Before, you can’t address someone older than you by their first name except they give you consent, now the untrained young kids of today don’t know the word ‘Mr or Mrs exists.

Reverence for God is out of the window. People can no longer bow or kneel before God, let alone prostrate facedown…

A crisis is upon us. We must defend the little of boundaries of sanity and holiness that are left.

The consolation is that, no matter how corrupt the world becomes, God always has a remnant that He reserves, to carry forward His Order, Holiness, Righteousness, Justice, Reverence and Honour…

“Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.” 1 Kings 19:18.

You are either part of the Holy Remnant or the corrupt mix-multitude.

Be Modest in all Things:
Think for a moment about the humility and modesty of God.
He is always at work: He guides the sun, the stars and the universe. He controls every galaxy. He refreshes the earth constantly.
He gives food to the ant. He supervises the animals in the depth of the oceans. He protects the grasshopper and guides the elephant.
He serves us so softly and quietly. This modest service makes some people think there is no God or God is not in control.
Remember, God's artist don't put their signature on every picture they create. His ambassadors don't dominate in the nations of their assignment.
Dress modestly.
Act humbly.
Show more kindness.
Give greater grace...
Do all things in love, from love, out of love, with love and for The Love of Jesus ..

When prayers don't work?
When you pray and fast on an issue again and again and there is no result. You may need to change the prayer: to ask God what you need to do or to surrender to God to work on you...
God is not wicked and Satan is not that powerful...

Sometimes we chose not to obey...
At times, we choose to rebel...

Many times we know what to do but refuse to them...

And sometimes it may be a weakness that we think is minor that is causing a major delay.

I define Bewitchment as demotivation to the the right thing and motivation to do the wrong thing.

"What has happened to you foolish Galatians?
Who has put you under a spell?
Did God not open your eyes to see the meaning of Jesus' crucifixion?
Was he not revealed to you as the crucified one? - Galatians 3:1.
Apostle Paul assumed the Galatian church was bewitched, not because he thought satan bewitched them, but because he could not understand why they will drop the revelation of Christ as the crucified and resurrected one.

Two things amazed Jesus in the Bible: Great Faith (Mathew 15:21-28, Mathew 8: 5-13) and Great Unbelief (Mark 6:1-6).
The choice is yours!

Learn How To Be Truly Beautiful
The beauty industry is rapidly changing and growing, and Gen Zers and millennials are leading the way. According to Revieve, a beauty and wellness platform, “Gen Z is changing the face of beauty.” In their eyes, beauty is defined by “freedom of individuality, authenticity, and diversity.” It’s about being yourself but also about being your best self.

Gen Zers seek brands that support their values and complement their identity, so they look to the wellspring of all wisdom—YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

This fount provides a never-ending supply of make-up tutorials, beauty hacks, and product reviews. According to a 2023 survey, millennials spend an average of $2,670 per year on beauty products, followed by Gen Zers at $2,048; and 64–67 percent say it’s because of social media’s influence.

As a millennial, I’m aware of this influence, yet I still willingly give in. When I don’t like what I see in the mirror, a voice whispers, “We can change that.” An article here. A TikTok tutorial there. Another order on Amazon. But in the end, I’m left feeling empty. And the pattern repeats.

Our longing for “authentic” beauty drives us to a cacophony of voices that promise solutions but lead to dissatisfaction. Trends change. Fads fade. Anything “authentic” is just another counterfeit.

Then where are we to look?

Look to Christ’s Beauty
What we find in God’s Word turns our culture’s definition of beauty upside down through the life and death of God’s Son. We were designed to treasure beauty; we just look for it in the wrong places. Here are four reasons we’re to look to Jesus, not social media, to satisfy our desire for authentic beauty.

We were designed to treasure beauty; we just look for it in the wrong places.

1. Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory.
When Moses asked to see God’s glory, God told him no one could see his face and live (Ex. 33:20). But he’d be willing to show Moses his back. As he passed by Moses, God spoke these words:

The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation. (34:6–7)

When Moses came down from the mountain, his face was shining. To see God’s glory, to gaze on his beauty, is to know his character and be in his presence. This is why David says his one request is to gaze on the beauty of the Lord (Ps. 27:4). He knows God as the merciful and majestic King over all creation and desires to behold him by worshiping him in the temple.

Some caught glimpses of his glory, but no one had ever seen God (John 1:18)—until Jesus came. In the person of Jesus Christ, we see the “radiance of the glory of God” (Heb. 1:3). So the Bible’s description of Jesus’s appearance may shock us.

2. Jesus laid aside his beauty.
Many men and women in Scripture were described as attractive. Sarah (Gen. 12:11), Rebekah (24:16), Rachel (29:17), Esther (Est. 2:7), and Tamar (2 Sam. 13:1) were all described as beautiful in appearance. Joseph “was handsome in form and appearance” (Gen. 39:6), and David “was ruddy and had beautiful eyes and was handsome” (1 Sam. 16:12). But Jesus wasn’t described this way. Instead, in Isaiah we read that “he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him” (53:2).

The Savior of the world came as someone who wasn’t considered beautiful or worthy of our attention. If we’d been there, we wouldn’t have been drawn to him. If he’d been on social media, we wouldn’t have followed him. He wouldn’t have even come close to our standard of beauty.

So we must ask ourselves, Why are we clinging to something that Jesus willingly laid aside?

Isaiah 53:2 is one of the few places in the Bible that speak of Jesus’s appearance. Another comes a few verses before and is even more jarring.

3. Jesus took on our ugliness.
Not only did Jesus have no beauty that we should desire him, but he suffered to the point of being unrecognizable—a mass of wounded flesh so marred he didn’t look human anymore: “His appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind” (52:14).

As he hung on the cross, bloody and naked, Jesus took our ugliness on himself. He bore our sin, which is described in Scripture as a heavy burden and as open sores that stink and fester (Ps. 38:4–5; Isa. 1:6). God’s wrath poured out on his Son, treating him as if he had committed every one of our hideous deeds. This horrific sight accomplished our salvation, the greatest display of love the world has ever seen.

So, Christian, hear this: when God looks at you, he no longer sees the ugliness of your sin—he sees the beauty of his Son.

Look at Jesus, the One who bore your sin that you’d be washed clean and clothed in his splendor. Look on his glory in an unflinching gaze and don’t ever take your eyes off him. And tell others about him, for those who do have beautiful feet (Rom. 10:15).

4. Jesus received a glorified body.
The good news is that Jesus didn’t stay up on that cross. He rose, receiving a glorified body, the firstfruits of the resurrection (1 Cor. 15:20). The resurrection points to the importance of our bodies. Gnosticism claims the body is bad, but Scripture says our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (6:19). We glorify God by taking care of our bodies, but we can go too far if we seek to glorify them now rather than waiting for God to do this in eternity.

One day, we’ll receive glorified bodies and be presented without spot or wrinkle (15:5–53; Eph. 5:27). But even better than this, we’ll gaze on our beautiful Savior.

Reflect Christ’s Beauty
Until then, how will we make ourselves ready? Will we chase a fading beauty? Will we spend our time and money seeking our glory? Or will we pursue the authentic and imperishable beauty of Christlikeness, pointing others to the beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ for his glory?

When God looks at you, he no longer sees the ugliness of your sin—he sees the beauty of his Son.

When you’re getting ready in the morning, before you go to your closet or open your cosmetics drawer, consider what qualities you want to put on (Col. 3:12–24). What do you want people to see when you leave the house: you or Christ? Rather than spending all of your time in front of the mirror, spend time in God’s Word reflecting on Christ’s beauty.

Before going on social media, ask yourself, Will this help me to behold Christ or make me more focused on myself? Rather than enviously scrolling through a friend’s Instagram photos, spend time with people who urge you to be more like Jesus.

Let’s be people who, instead of worrying about what we see in the mirror, are a mirror that reflects Christ’s beauty. Only in him can our desire for beauty be satisfied.

Be Excited: The Future is Blissful.

Jehovah, in His righteousness and justice will judge every believer of Jesus Christ in the last day!
But it is a fascinating judgement: judgement without punishment or condemnation.

In 2 Corinthians 5:10, Paul says, “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.”
And that last word, “evil” — whoa! What does that mean?

The new question that text raises is, What does Paul mean when he talks about us receiving what is due for evil things we’ve done?

Now, if our sins are forgiven, which they are, and we’re acquitted in the court of heaven, which we are, does this mean there will be punishment to Christians for sins they’ve done? That doesn’t make sense, right? No, it doesn’t mean that.

I think Paul explains what he means in 1 Corinthians 3:11–15. It’s a very familiar text, but let me suggest this angle on it.
“No one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw — each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day [that is, the day of judgment] will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire”.

What I think Paul meant when he said in 2 Corinthians 5:10, “each one [will] receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil” — what he meant was that the way one receives evil is by having his bad deeds burned up, meaning, he loses the reward he would have received if he had acted otherwise.

This is not viewed by Paul as punishment but as loss of reward. It’s not owing to God’s wrath against his child. Mark that: It’s not owing to God’s wrath against his child. It is simply a fact that it would be unfitting for God to reward the sins of his children. They know that, we know that, Paul knew that.

What a blissful end! We will not enter into condemnation or punishment, but we will receive varieties of blessing, varieties of reward, different avenues of joy, different sizes of cups — but every cup full, ONLY BECAUSE OF WHAT Jesus Christ DID FOR US BY DYING FOR OUR SINS. THANK YOU JESUS for making us look forward to eternal life with joyful expectation.

There is only one way to serve and worship God. It is with our spirit and it is exclusively in the gospel of His son. "For God is my witness whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His son..." - Romans 1:9.

We don't service our pastor. We don't attend church services. We only worship and serve God. We only gather as saints to worship and serve Christ in His gospel.

Any service or worship that is not in the gospel of Jesus Christ is a vain exercise for automatic futility.

Any sermon that is not gospel- centered and Christ hinged, is either self-driven or demonic.

We may preach and it may not be about Christ and His kingdom. We may do a crusade and it may not be about Christ and His kingdom.

Some churches have forgotten that all things done when saints gather should be in Christ, with Christ, through Christ and for Christ

Christ-less messages abound today and many of us are guilty of its prevalence. Some are more concerned about correcting other men of God than preach and teach Christ.

Some are more concerned about selfish warfare than preach and teach Christ.

Some are doing special events, concerts and programs to please their congregation and minister to their earthly and sensual ambitions

Saints, it is only about Christ crucified and resurrected. It is only about preaching him to the lost and teaching him to the saints. If Jesus Christ is not enough, we are doomed!

"But the hour has come: That true worshippers must worship the Father in Spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and those that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth" - John 4:23-24.

In Spirit, that is, our service and worship must be Holy Spirit powered.

In truth, that, in the gospel of His Son. "I am the Truth, the Way and the Life" - John 14:6.

Worship and service must be about the ONLY WAY, the ONLY TRUTH and the ONLY LIFE.

We need to repent of preachings and teachings that appeal to the sensualities and material ambition of men.

Christ is the only message to be preached and taught. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and these things (food, clothing and shelter) shall be added onto you.

Don't make the shadow the substance. It is the substance that produces the shadow. Christ is the substance: everything else is a shadow.

The Lord will deliver us from shadow chasing in the name of Jesus.

Be careful not to build a huge cathedral; organise programs and crusade to chase shadows.

People are easily drawn to shadows but we must reveal Christ to them, no matter how challenging it is.

Stand your ground to stand for Christ. His coming is near.

Remain blessed and highly favoured.

Are You Productive?

Have you ever asked yourself: Why is my Christian life so pedestrian? So underwhelming? So stagnant? Why am I not concerned that souls are dying? Why don’t I have compassion for the lost and the broken and those heading to hell?

The answer may be that: “You have forgot why you are here on earth: A light that should shine in darkness.

You may not be walking worthy of your calling. You may be living but half-awake.

You and I might be living a slouching, blunted, anemic, sleepy, weak, unconvinced Christian life — not in all things, perhaps, but often in one main thing: mission: soul winning and discipling.

Too many of us live civilian lives in this Great War and, therefore, remain only half-happy, half-alive, half-thrilled. And instead of realizing it (and repenting of it), we sink further into the world that we ought to bring to Christ.

We must confess and repent genuinely

“Father, the commission your dear Son charged us with — the commission he himself sends us on and promises his presence for — how little do we concern ourselves that it is left unfinished? How little does it send us across sea, or street, or down to our knees?

This world needs Christians shining in the darkness; how often have we pulled baskets over ourselves? The need is undiminished; how little can we say the same of ourselves? If anything in this world calls for energy, for tenacity, for wakefulness, for risk, is it not your mission?

And yet how often do we answer your imperial claims with slothful ease? So much consumption, so little commission.

By our confession as Christians, by our baptism, by our membership in the visible church, we have solemnly pledged to participate in your mission. Give us grace to proclaim your excellencies. Souls are dying. What are we still here for if not to make you known?"

We Must Ask Him for help

"Look out upon the dying masses, Father. Have compassion on these unnumbered souls unable to discern their left hand from their right. And work your compassion in us. They live next door; they work with us; we eat at the same restaurants and play the same games. Give us wisdom to hunt souls, to labor while it’s day, to be uncomfortably bright witnesses to your beloved Son. And send the required number of us into those lands drowning in false religion to draw in a people from every language, tribe, and nation for your name’s sake?.

Pray Without Ceasing for empowerment

"Father, let us know what it is to bear this flaming torch. Love compels us, your glory spurs us, duty points us, and the cloud of witnesses cheers us to bring the gospel to the lost. Where would we be without former generations who resolved to give their lives proclaiming that Jesus died and rose and reigns? May we not be a generation of vile ingratitude that receives knowledge of eternal life from the bloody labors of others but is unwilling to pass such knowledge along ourselves.

Give us that same ambition. Whatever powers we have, hone them; whatever gifts we have, wield them. Turn the world upside down yet again. May we not shrink from any cross, lest in so doing, we refuse every crown.

O great and triune God, as you have sustained them, sustain us; as you moved them, move us; as your love constrained them, rouse us with zeal untired. Light the beacon. Many of us are wood three times doused; flame the altar.

Two great lions stand in the street and block the way. The first is cowardice — an unwillingness to bear a costly witness. O Lord, help us to see the immeasurable gain on the other side of temporal loss. Let us see all that is at stake in our negligence and fear.

And Lord, stir us from the second lion, lethargy. Let us learn from the ant or from the foolish virgins or the cursed fig tree. Don’t let us drool upon our pillows undisturbed. Awaken the militant church dissatisfied with playing defense. Awaken the church whose witness is unmistakable, whose power is undeniable, whose advance the gates of hell cannot withstand. Awaken the church that so out-rejoices and out-loves the world that onlookers see it and must give you glory. Here we are, Lord; we will go. Send us forth on your errands to labor for your sake — but only as you go with us.

Church, we have a task unfinished that towers over your best life now. We will more fully taste the joy of our salvation as we go extend our hope to others".
