Shaking the Foundations: Midnight Worship and the Unstoppable God

Let's open the book of
Deuteronomy 8:18 "But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
Who must remember here? YOU must remember. Why? Because it is God who gives you the power to acquire wealth. With this revelation, we understand that no one on earth has ever acquired true wealth without Him.
Psalm 147:4 "He determines and counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names."
God counts the number of the stars. Let us not limit Him! If God can count all the stars and call them by their individual names, how can He fail to know you? How can He fail to count your days or know your situations? He knows exactly what you are going through. Your problems have a name, but God knows your name too.
You might even find that one of the names God calls a star is your very name. If He can count the stars, He will never forget to call you.

A star does not depend on external light; it has its own light. When God made man, He made him with his own light—he does not depend on anything else to light up. You are better than the moon. The moon depends on the sun for light, but who are you? You are a Son (a child of God).
The sun has its own light, and so do you. You do not need to depend on the world for your light. Let your light shine! You will go to places no one else in your family has ever been because you carry your own light.
God cannot forget your problems or your situation. If He knows the number of the stars, He knows you. He sent this word to change your life—be ready for transformation!

In Acts 3:1-10, the man at the Beautiful Gate had two feet but could not walk because the capacity to walk was not there. Similarly, you may have the tools, but you need the divine capacity to move. Everyone has the potential to be rich, but capacity is often the problem. If God can count the stars, who can limit Him? No one.
Acts 16:20 "And when they had brought them before the magistrates, they declared, These fellows are Jews and they are throwing our city into great confusion."
There are prisons that are not physical buildings, but rather prisons you build for yourself. Spiritual prisons like unforgiveness are examples of this.
Acts 16:23–24 "And when they had struck them with many blows, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them safely. He, having received [so strict a] charge, put them into the inner prison (the dungeon) and fastened their feet in the stocks."
Look at this prison: it was a small, dark, uncomfortable room. Paul and Silas were not enjoying themselves; it was painful and pitch black. They were thrown into a place where the sun could not shine, which was supposed to be their end. But God looked down and said, "I can count all the stars and call them by name. What is a single prison holding Paul and Silas?" Paul and Silas had a deep revelation of who God was.
Acts 16:25 "But about midnight, as Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the [other] prisoners were listening to them,"
Not every enemy is awake at midnight. You must know your enemy’s weakness. When your enemy is asleep, it is time for you to wake up and sing songs of praise and worship! Do not spend that time crying or complaining. Wake up to worship and sing hymns to Him, saying, "You are the God who counts the stars and knows them by name."
God is not moved by the fact that you are stuck in a situation; He wants you to go through it (to pass through it). You must speak like David in Psalm 23:4:
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..."
Even when you go through prison or fire, He is with you. He said in Jeremiah 33:3:
"Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
When you call, you cause God to move.
Notice that the other prisoners were listening. God was interested in those prisoners too. When God delivers you, He does not deliver you alone. You are blessed to be a blessing; you are delivered to deliver others. Do not be selfish—allow God to work through you. You must receive a deliverance that impacts your entire family!
Acts 16:26 "Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken; and at once all the doors were opened and everyone's shackles were unfastened."
This prison was built of stone, but when the earthquake came, the foundation was shaken. When the voice of the Lord thunders, it shakes foundations. God will not just deliver your hand and leave the rest of your body bound. More importantly, He wants to deliver your spirit.
If you have a spirit of unforgiveness, God will shake that foundation and leave you with a pure, new heart. If your prison is poverty, He shakes that foundation and brings riches. In prison, you are limited, but when God shakes the foundation, you are free to move.
God spoke to Abraham in Genesis 12 and essentially said, "I know you are childless right now, but you are the father of nations." Jesus is not interested in your poverty because He carries all the riches, and He is the one who gives the power to acquire wealth.
Paul and Silas were worshipping at midnight. Could anyone even tell they were in prison? They turned their prison into a house of worship! If you are sick or struggling financially, view that situation as a house of worship. At midnight, wake up, lay your matters before the Lord, and God will cause an earthquake to shake your situation. The prison you are in must cause you to love God more.
Acts 16:27–28 "When the jailer, startled out of his sleep, saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was on the point of killing himself, because he supposed that the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, 'Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!'"
The jailer was asleep. Who is your jailer? Your family members may be spiritually asleep right now, but your breakthrough will awaken them. Do not fight them; recognize that they are simply asleep. When your chains are loosed, let your life be a testimony to them. If there is anyone in your family tied to idols or traditional healers (sangomas), pray for their salvation, because we want them to enter heaven. Allow the earthquake to shake them into salvation.
Acts 16:30 "And he brought them out [of the dungeon] and said, 'Men, what is it necessary for me to do that I may be saved?'"
Let your breakthrough cause your enemies to seek salvation. Sometimes you don't even have to answer your enemy directly—the secret is your midnight worship. What you tell God in secret is what your enemy will see in public. Do not give credit to your enemy by crying and complaining. The jailer eventually took Paul and Silas out of prison without even asking his superiors because he urgently wanted to be saved. Just like Nicodemus came to Jesus at night, this jailer and his family received salvation and became disciples.
Your enemies will end up following your God, but you must discern who the enemy is so you are not destroyed.
Think of Peter in Acts 12. He was sleeping so deeply that an angel had to strike him on the side to wake him up as the gates opened. Peter thought he was dreaming because he loved to sleep! Meanwhile, the church was constantly praying for him. Yet, when Peter actually showed up at the door, the very church that was praying could not believe it!
Like many today, after we pray and the answer comes, we ask, "How can this be?" Do not question how God will bring it to pass. God is not confused like man is. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.
Luke 1:34 -36 "And listen! Your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was called barren."
God told Mary, "I am not only dealing with you; I am answering for your relatives too." When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will reflect Genesis 1:28—you will be fruitful and multiply. I believe Elizabeth and her husband were initially confused about how they could conceive in their old age, but with God, nothing is impossible.

STANDING TOGETHER IN PRAYER

Messiah's greetings, hallelujah!

The ones whom the Father has chosen have come to intercede. You are a chosen person, a chosen individual. It is not by luck or by might that you are here, but by the Spirit of Him who has chosen you to be here. It is Jesus Christ, the Living God, who hears and answers prayers.

When those whom He has chosen pray, heaven responds. When you are in a war, you shoot to overcome. When you enter into battle, do not have pity on the enemy, for you are here to destroy that which the devil has built. You are a chosen Christian, equipped and appointed for this assignment. It is not by mistake that you are here today. Let us not look down at our circumstances, but let us look up to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Let us open the Book of:
JEREMIAH 4:1-2

"[1] If you will return, O Israel, says the Lord, if you will return to Me, and if you will put away your abominable false gods out of My sight and not stray or waver;

[2] And if you swear, As the Lord lives, in truth, in judgment and justice, and in righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation), then the nations will bless themselves in Him and in Him will they glory."

Hallelujah! This is what the Lord is saying to His sons: let us return to Him. How do we return to Jesus? We return to Jesus through prayer. When you pray, you are turning toward Jesus. When you neglect prayer, you begin to turn away from Him and toward the idols of this world.

This is a call for all sons and daughters of God to return to Jesus so that whatever we do may be blessed. It is not only about us; there are also many sons and daughters around the world who need our prayers because they are unable to pray for themselves. Let us remember those who are in anguish, those who are burdened, those who have become weary, and those who have lost hope.

Too often we forget to intercede, thinking that only our spiritual leaders or our Father in the faith should pray. Yet God has called every believer to stand in prayer.

Let us intercede and pray for one another. Do not pray for yourself alone. This is why intercession exists—to pray for others, both those who know you and those who do not know you. The devil seeks to destroy what God has built, but prayer preserves and strengthens the work of God.

Let us stand in the gap for those who cannot stand for themselves. When we do so, the Lord hears our petitions. How can you expect to provoke a blessing when you have never prayed for those around you? Instead of speaking blessings, many unknowingly invite curses into their lives through selfishness and neglect, yet still call themselves children of God.

We are all children of God, so let us unite through prayer. There is no prodigal son beyond the reach of the Father's love. We are all sons and daughters of God, and we all deserve the love and mercy that come from Him. Though we may come from different places, we remain one before the Living God.

If you do not pray for one another, you are failing to uphold the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom advances when believers stand together in faith, love, and intercession.

Jesus is the Light. Do not desire to keep that Light to yourself. Rather, pray that the same Light may reach those who are still walking in darkness. You are a chosen generation, called to stand for your brothers and sisters in Christ. In doing so, you render pure worship unto the Father.

You did not choose yourself for this assignment; you were appointed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Just as He sacrificed Himself on the cross for all of us, we too have been called to pray—not only for ourselves, but for the entire Body of Christ. There is no division in Him. You are strong during another person's weakness, and another person is strong during your weakness. Together, we build one another through prayer.

Let us continue reading.
JEREMIAH 4:4

"[4] Circumcise yourselves to the Lord and take away the foreskins of your hearts, you men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My wrath go forth like fire [consuming all that gets in its way] and burn so that no one can quench it because of the evil of your doings."

This is what the Lord is telling us: we must remain aligned with the covenant of God, which is founded upon love. You cannot keep the covenant of God while holding grudges in your heart, and you cannot pray effectively while carrying bitterness.

Let us keep the covenant of God, which is not the love of this world, but the love that comes from above. Many sons and daughters have neglected this covenant by hurting and destroying one another. Let us instead pray with love. Remove every grudge and every offense.

Do not focus on what your neighbor has done against you, for you too were once a sinner. Someone prayed for you so that you could see this Light. Now it is your turn to pray for those who are near you and even for those who are far away, just as someone once prayed for you.

Do not enter the presence of God with hatred, bitterness, murmuring, or unforgiveness in your heart. Pray for those who are lost, so that their blood may not be required of you if they perish without receiving the help and intercession that God placed within your power to offer.

Remove every doubt. Remove every bitterness. Set yourself free and cast off every garment of heaviness. Prayer is more than speaking words into the air. Prayer is a matter of the heart. God listens not only to what comes out of your mouth, but also to what is within your spirit.

When the nation is blessed, you are blessed. When the people around you are protected, you are protected. Your safety is connected to the well-being of your neighbor. Therefore, let us pray for one another continually, carrying each other's burdens and standing together as one Body in Christ.

May the Lord give us hearts of intercession, hearts full of love, and hearts that are fully surrendered to His will. Let us return to Him wholeheartedly, for He is faithful to hear, faithful to answer, and faithful to save.
