A disciple in the market place

KEY SCRIPTURES :

Mark 10:46-47
(NLT):
46. Then they reached Jericho, and as Jesus and his disciples left town, a large crowd followed him. A blind beggar named Bartimaeus (son of Timaeus) was sitting beside the road.
47. When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

NUGGETS
1. Jericho is a place where no man can build because it was cursed.(Joshua 6v26)
2.The beggar was blind but he had a revelation of Jesus as a king.
3.The beggar understood that the one moving in the midst is not an ordinary man. He perceived the ability of Christ to transform his life.
4.Prayer is a revelation of who Christ is. In places of Jericho have a revelation of who Jesus is.
5.Learn to discern the atmosphere around you a , Jericho is a place of shouting and pulling down strongholds several times. .
6.When you are experiencing the presence of the lord in prayer, use it to declare and prophecy upon your life.

KEY SCRIPTURES
2 Kings 6v1,24 |2 Kings 7v1-11

2 Kings 6:24-25 And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.
And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

2 Kings 7:1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

NUGGETS

1. A prophetic word comes to violate the laws of nature. It speaks to nothingness and brings life.
2.Heaven releases miracles instead of strategies. Miracles can't be understood by men.
3.Elisha understood the point of trade at the market place. As a disciple you must trade at the market place and take charge of the system.
4.Market places have certain domains that we must take control of :media, entertainment, governance etc
5.When disciples master the gates of the market place they have the ability to take control. The leprous men that were rejected sat by the gates and were positioned for the right season.
6.The lepers were carrying the mantle of Elisha and their presence sounded like an army. They found spoils.
7.They went with the report and told the gatekeepers because disciples are meant to announce the word of testimony to the city.
8.Silence and eating the blessing will bring punishment. Disciples are meant to share the word.

Acts 17v 17|Ruth 2v2-5,15-16|Ruth 4v2-4|
1. The market place is an ecosystem that can be utilized to Minister the gospel of God and engaging in fruitful financial success.
2. When leaders thrive financially the ministry prospers.
3. Jesus teaches us to make profit not a salary. Disciples that are employees lack the ability to make profit or any gain.
4. Leaders are called to be the heads in the market place so as to influence others for Christ.
5. The higher the risk in breaking out of the comfort zone, the greater the reward.
6. Irrespective of the status in the market place we must use it as a platform to share the gospel of Christ. (making use of digital platforms)
7. We were made to be excellent even so in the market place so that God is glorified.
8. Boaz owned land, had labourers, he was a business owner and a steward of God’s resources. He ministered the word of the LORD to his employees.
9. Boaz had supervisors that handled his business, philanthropic heart that helps people in need and expanded his business through acquiring more land

Making of a disciple

Genesis 2v1- 8
Ecclesiastis 3v11| Revelation 22v1

Genesis 2:1-2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

There must be a course that causes God to make the plant to grow in the course of God.
Are you cultivating your garden?

1. God operates from a place that is finished and a place of rest.
2. God is resting from his work. Meaning he works and goes to the finish line watches his work doing the work.
3.In the process of working God was also blessing his work.
4.We are his work and we must work from finishing.
5.God blessed the day of rest of his work. The time of God has a blessing
6.Days are important because they carry decisions and a designed time set aside for you by God.
7.God seperated the seventh day because he sanctified it and seperated it from the rest of the days.
8.Gen 2v4.Generations of heavens are created and men must make generations .Hence,God entrusts us with generations that need to be birthed and managed.
9.As believers we are called to command the generations that are to come in God's will and word.
10.V5. The fields were available but there was no plants nor rain because there was no man present. Before heavens release a blessing it checks if man is present.
11.Genesis 2v6-7.Disciples are to be formed and progressively made into disciples. God further plants gardens (opportunities, ministry ) that we should occupy, dominate and cultivate
12.Disciples must take over in the market place because the field is ready.
13.Genesis 2v The river parted into four parts in the garden because men was present who has the ability to multiply. Everything that moves from men must produce and take over the earth.
14.Eden is the throne of God, the garden is where we are and the flow must come to us and be multiplied.
15.The flowing water was living waters , when the waters reach you they must turn into gold. You must be able to transform it.

Genesis 11v1-5|Habakkuk 2v1-
Genesis 11:1-2 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.Genesis 11:3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
1. The people had one language, vision and mandate. Hence, the language they spoke unified them together.
2. A church unity is rooted in oneness.
3. Division kills a vision because the enemy of a vision is division.
4. Structures built on men and their own vision are bound to fail because God is not present. It further causes delay in producing what God intended for you.
5. Leadership comes with accountability and ownership in the work of Christ.
6. Lack of accountability breeds negligence to the work of God. Learn the art of being established and indoctrinated in the place God has placed you in.
7. Believers with a structure without vision tend to go nowhere and fail to execute their responsibilities effectively.
8. A spiritual gift in a believer is given at its maturity however, it’s upto the believer/leader to grow in their gift.
9. Believers are supposed to be working on the finished work on the cross. We must rest on the finished works of the cross.
10. Genesis 11v4:Don’t build systems that lead to heaven not God. It leaves the believers in a halfway journey. It leads to the absence of God.
11. Avoid building structures and legacies in your name let it be more about God than the idea of self.
12. God is triggered to come down where there’s a project involving his name. God can’t sent forth anyone into the field that he hasn’t raised and natured for the journey.
13. Habakkuk 2v1-2.Be prayerful and anticipate what the lord will do. Develop an ear to hear from the Lord.
