Good Day Church Family,
Through the International Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC ) and South African Community of Faith-Based Fraternals (SACOFF), together with 247 denominations, federations, and fraternals across South Africa, we are encouraging every eligible South African citizen aged 16 years and older to register to vote.
Scripture - "...it is required in stewards that one be found faithful."
— 1 Corinthians 4:2 (NKJV)
The Bible teaches that faithful stewardship extends beyond what we own—it includes how we use the influence, opportunities, and responsibilities God has entrusted to us.
Living in a democratic nation is a privilege that many people around the world do not enjoy. The ability to choose those who govern our communities is not merely a political opportunity; it is a civic responsibility. Voting is one of the practical ways we seek the welfare of our cities, care for our neighbours, and contribute to the future of the next generation.
When good people choose not to participate, they surrender their voice to others. Registering to vote does not mean placing our hope in politics—it means faithfully exercising the responsibility God has placed in our hands while continuing to trust Him as the ultimate authority over every nation.
On Tuesday, 4 November, South Africa will hold its Local Government Elections. Local government affects many of the services we rely on every day—our roads, water, sanitation, electricity, local safety, libraries, parks, and community facilities. The decisions made at local level have a direct impact on our families, churches, schools, businesses, and neighbourhoods.
If you are eligible and have not yet registered, we encourage you to do so. If you have already registered, please take a moment to ensure that your registration details and voting address are correct.
Remember, you should register at the address where you will be staying on election day, as this determines the voting station where you will cast your vote.
As followers of Christ, we are called to pray for our leaders, seek the peace and prosperity of our communities, and be faithful stewards of every opportunity God gives us. Registering to vote is one simple but meaningful way to live out that responsibility.
So let us pray faithfully. Consider wisely. Register responsibly. Vote with integrity.
Let's Rise. Register. Represent.
