Hlala Lami Jesu

Psalms 27:9: "Hide not Thy face far from me; put not Thy servant away in anger: Thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation." (Psalm 27:9)

O Lord, my Father, my Helper, and the God of my salvation, stay with me. Hlala lami Jesu. Abide with me, Lord, for evening is drawing near and the sun is setting.

Do not leave your servant nor forsake me, for You have been my help from my youth until this very day. Stay with me, Lord, and be closer than a brother.

For when You are not with me, darkness surrounds me; hope grows faint, and my enemies rejoice over me. But when You are with me, fear loses its voice, darkness loses its power, and every mountain becomes a plain before me.

Lord of my salvation, stay with me, for the day is far spent and the night is approaching. When my strength is fading, stay with me. When the road is lonely, stay with me. When answers are few and burdens are many, stay with me. Do not be far from me, for trouble is near, and there is none to help but You.

As the sun sets, let Your presence rise within me. As the day grows dim, let Your glory shine brighter. Be the light that outshines every darkness, the peace that silences every fear, and the hope that rises above every storm.

Lord, when You are with me, You become my light Yourself. You turn darkness into great light. You order my steps and keep my feet from stumbling. You are the lamp unto my feet and the light unto my path. You preserve me from every snare and prevent my foot from striking against a stone.

When You are with me, I dominate spiritual battles. I pursue my enemies and overtake them. I outrun my pursuers and leap over walls.

Through You, I am more than a conqueror. Through You every giant falls, every chain breaks, and every weapon formed against me loses its power.

When You are with me, I laugh at my troubles because I know they are temporary. I sleep in the midst of darkness because I know You neither slumber nor sleep. I walk in peace because You reign over every storm. I stand firm because Your promises can not fail.

Lord, stay and never leave. Stay with me for the day of trouble comes. Be my shield and my exceeding great reward. Be my refuge in the storm, my covering in the battle, and my strength in moments of weakness.

Father, my generation depends on me. My family depends on me. My father's house depends on me. Therefore, do not leave me to fight alone. Stand with me in every battle. Walk with me through every valley.

I trust You, Lord. I believe Your Word. I stand secure upon Your promises. You have never failed, and You will not begin with me. Stay with me until the night has passed, and when a new dawn breaks, let me find You still beside me.
Hlala lami Jesu. Stay with me, Lord.

Amen.

CONFIDENCE IN GOD

Psalms 16:8 (KJV) I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

The confidence of the Psalmist was in God.

He had seen God come through for him time and time again. He had witnessed the faithfulness of God in every season in battles, in trials, in moments of weakness, and in times of victory.

That is why he boldly declared:

“Because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”

Child of God, fear comes when you forget who God is and what He has already done for you.

But the moment you remember His marvelous works, faith rises again and strength returns again.

Never forget the goodness of God in your life.

The same God who brought you through before will bring you through again.

I have seen God recently. He allayed every fear and assured me that He knows exactly what He is doing with my life.

The Lord is a good God. He never loses control, even when life feels uncertain.

Whatever you are going through today, put God at the center of it.

You will come out rejoicing!

You are strong not because of your own strength but because the Lord is at your right hand.

And when God stands with you :

No storm can bury you.

No battle can break you.

No situation can move you!

Sometimes when you feel like you are losing, pause and remember where God brought you from.Think of how He carried you from your young age. Think of how faithful He has been through every season of your life. As you remember His faithfulness, you will notice something powerful:

The struggle will begin to look smaller, and your faith will begin to grow bigger.

Your history with God is your weapon against present fear.

And if you feel you do not yet have a testimony of your own, borrow one from the Scriptures. Borrow one from your pastor. Borrow one from someone God has helped before and declare:

“If God did it for them, He will surely do it for me, because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!”

Do not let fear preach louder than God’s promises.

Stand firm. Believe again. Trust again. Pray again.

The Lord is at your right hand you shall not be moved!

Hallelujah!

Lord, you can trust me.

O dear Lord, I know I am not perfect, but you can trust me.

I sometimes fail you, yet I love you, and I love your work so dearly, you know my heart. Help me.

Search me, Lord, and remove from me everything that does not please you. Purify my motives, cleanse my heart, and teach me to walk uprightly before you.

Test me and know how deep my trust is in you. Teach me to love you more deeply than I love the things of this world.

Father, I do not always know how to pray as I should, but let your Holy Spirit guide me into your heart.

Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought...”

Lord, if you could use Peter who denied you three times, then surely you can also use me. I am available for you. Use me to transform the people I lead.

Even after Peter failed, you restored him and entrusted him with souls. Father, restore me, shape me, and use me for your glory.

If you used Deborah to bring freedom and victory to Israel, then Lord, you can also use me.

“Judges 4 :4, And Deborah... judged Israel at that time.”

I am willing to be blessed so that I may bless others. I am available to be used by you to carry your blessings to every deserving corner of this universe.

Lord, trust me with resources and finances. I know I have made mistakes with money before, but you know my heart. Help me in my weaknesses and strengthen me where I fall short.

Teach me to become a faithful steward of every blessing You place in my hands.

Lord, anoint me even more so I may help my generation.

I do not want to leave this earth without experiencing the fullness of your power and purpose upon my life.

Lord, anoint me afresh. Let my life carry evidence that You are alive.

Show me favour with people around me , my colleagues, relatives, friends, and even strangers.

Luke 2 vs 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

Let doors open for me that no man can shut. Let my life reflect your grace and mercy.

Father, I surrender myself completely to you today. Use me, trust me, correct me, build me, and lead me. May my life become a vessel that carries your love, your power, and your presence.

And one day, may I hear these words from You:

“ Well done, thou good and faithful servant...” Mathew 25 vs 21

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

OFFENCE

Offence is one of the enemy’s greatest traps. It clouds our vision, corrupts relationships, and slowly poisons the heart.

When a person is easily offended, they often move from one relationship to another, from one church to another, and from one opportunity to another.

Guard your heart against offence, and you will become one of the easiest and most pleasant people to relate with.

Nothing is more difficult than interacting with someone who is overly sensitive and easily offended. You do not know when to joke with them, when to correct them, or even how to help them.

Every word becomes a potential battle. An offended heart builds walls where God intended bridges.

How to Avoid Offence:

1. Be Humble

Offence often comes when we believe we deserve better treatment than what we receive.

If you think too highly of yourself, you will be easily offended. Humility gives you the strength to overlook what pride magnifies.

The humble person does not demand special treatment. They understand that life will not always go according to their expectations.

Pride says,

“How dare they treat me like this?”

Humility says, “Lord, teach me through this.”

2. Think of Others as Better Than Yourself.

The Bible teaches us to esteem others highly.

Understand that other people are also valuable. They have feelings, opinions, and dreams just as you do.

You are not the only important person in the room.Others deserve honour, respect, and recognition too.

When you appreciate the worth of others, you become less likely to be offended when they are preferred, celebrated, or blessed.

3. Learn to Celebrate Others

Many people become offended by the way God blesses others.

Cain became offended when God accepted his brother Abel’s offering. That offence grew into jealousy, and jealousy eventually led to murder. If offence is not dealt with, it can turn a person into something dangerous.

An offended heart can become a breeding ground for jealousy, bitterness and witchcraft .

Train yourself to genuinely rejoice when others succeed. Celebrate their breakthroughs, promotions, marriages, ministries, and blessings.

4. Stay on the Light Side of Life

This is extremely important.

Do not live on the dark and negative side of life where you assume that every comment is directed at you and every conversation is an attack.

Learn to say:

“I do not think they meant to hurt me.”
“It was probably not deliberate.”

"Let me choose peace instead of suspicion.”

Not every sermon is targeting you.

Not every laugh is about you.

Not every meeting is against you.

Not every two people talking are talking about you.

Sometimes the greatest deliverance is simply thinking better.

To illustrate this, let me share a humorous story.

A certain man of God was invited to officiate at the burial of a national hero at National Heroes Acre. It was his first time participating in such a significant event, and he was understandably nervous.

Then President Robert Mugabe was scheduled to speak immediately after him.

Overwhelmed by fear, the preacher lost track of his prepared message and ended up speaking extensively about old age and death. The entire stadium fell silent because President Mugabe himself was advanced in years at the time.

When the preacher finished, no one greeted him. The master of ceremonies did not even acknowledge him. He felt utterly devastated.

But when President Mugabe took the podium, he surprised everyone. Instead of taking offence, he praised the preacher and even repeated the strongest points from the sermon.

He then instructed that the man of God be given a generous honorarium. That is what it means to stay on the light side of life.

Where others would have chosen offence, the president avoided it.

Great people are not easily offended.

Beloved, do not allow offence to take root in your heart.

Offence blinds.
Offence isolates.
Offence destroys.
But humility heals.

A heart free from offence is a heart ready for God’s blessings.

Hallelujah!

OFFENSE (Part 2)

Luke 7:23 (KJV) And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Jesus warned His disciples and us by extension not to entertain offense, especially toward Him. In fact, He called those who refuse to be offended blessed.

Wisdom teaches us not to be overly sensitive or easily offended. Offense is a dangerous enemy that can prematurely separate you from people whom God has sent to help you.

If Jesus Himself could offend people, then anyone can offend anyone.

- Parents may offend their children.

- Children may offend their parents.

- Pastors may offend their congregations.

- Congregations may offend their pastors.

- Friends may offend one another.

- Employers may offend employees, and vice versa.

Here is a truth we must firmly grasp: there are certain people in life who should never be allowed to offend you, regardless of what they say or do, because they are connected to your destiny. It was not wise for any disciple to be offended by Jesus.

When offense deceives you into cutting off such relationships, you may jeopardize what God is doing in your life.

I remember learning a lesson I will never forget. I knew a gentleman who was arrogant and easily offended. Everyone around him walked on eggshells to avoid upsetting him.

One day, I accompanied him to meet an important client. During the meeting, the client mistreated us and belittled the service my colleague had provided. I became irritated, but I noticed that my colleague remained calm, smiling, and tolerant.

On our way back, I asked him why he had not reacted angrily.
He replied:

“There are certain people you do not get angry with. They are the ones who butter your bread. He is the one who gives me all these projects.”

What a profound lesson!

He understood when offense had to be switched off in order to preserve a valuable relationship.

Offense can remove you from certain places and disconnect you from certain people before God's purpose is fulfilled. Many have lost important relationships and divine opportunities because they allowed offense to take control.

Tomorrow, we will examine practical steps on how to avoid offense.
