(Coert) JESUS – DIE LAM WAT VIR ONS GESLAG IS

ROMEINE 5: 17-21
Deur die oortreding van die een mens het die dood begin heerskappy voer deur hierdie een mens, maar deur die Een, Jesus Christus, is veel meer bereik: dié wat die oorvloed van genade en die vryspraak as gawe ontvang het, sal lewe en heerskappy voer. Soos een oortreding gelei het tot veroordeling vir alle mense, so het een daad van gehoorsaamheid dus ook gelei tot vryspraak en lewe vir almal. Soos baie deur die ongehoorsaamheid van een mens sondaars geword het, so ook sal baie deur die gehoorsaamheid van die een Mens vrygespreek word. Die wet het bygekom om die oortredinge nog meer te maak; en hoe meer die sonde geword het, hoe oorvloediger het die genade geword. Die doel was dat, soos die sonde deur die dood heerskappy gevoer het, die genade deur die vryspraak ook heerskappy kan voer en tot die ewige lewe kan lei deur Jesus Christus ons Here.

BETEKENIS:
Die Here se genade is groter as wat ons ooit sal besef. Hy soek net gehoorsaamheid. Belydenis van sondes is kritiek en baie belangrik. Erken, bely en distansieer van alle sondes in jou lewe – daar is genade. Kom vry van die geestelike kettings wat satan oor jou lewe het. Daar is net een verlossings weg van sonde, en Sy naam is Jesus Christus. In geen ander naam; in geen ander geloof; op geen ander manier kan jy vergewing van sondes ontvang behalwe in die naam van Jesus Christus nie. Hy is die weg, die waarheid en die lewe – Hy is die Lam wat vir ons geslag is - niemand kom na die Vader behalwe deur Hom nie. Bewys jou bekering met dade wat by jou bekering pas. n Boom word aan sy vrugte geken.

2 Tessalonisense 2:13-17 Mag julle in al die goeie wat julle in woord en daad doen, bemoedig en gesterk word deur ons Here Jesus Christus en God ons Vader. Hy het aan ons sy liefde bewys en aan ons deur sy genade ñ blywende troos en goeie hoop gegee - 2 Tess 2:16-17

Een van die heel moeilikste take van ñ volgeling van Jesus is om ñ ware Christelike lewe te leef. Dit klink dalk na ñ teenstelling, maar hoe verder jy op die Christelike pad loop, hoe meer struikelblokke, versoekings en probleme sal jy waarskynlik ondervind. Die Bose sal sy volgehou aanslae op die kerk van Christus nie laat ophou nie.
Hoe moeilik jou pad ook al vir jou is, klou vas aan jou geloof en moet nooit moed opgee nie. Jy sal onthou dat Jesus, wat self fel versoekings moes weerstaan, het gesê: "In die wêreld sal julle dit moeilik hê; maar hou moed: Ek het die wêreld klaar oorwin" (Joh 16:33). Die genade van God is genoeg om te voorsien in al jou omstandighede, goed of sleg. Hy gee aan jou die krag en die vermoë om teenspoed te hanteer en te oorwin.
Jesus het sy lewe vir jou gegee sodat jy God se vergifnis kan ontvang en ñ begrip kan hê van die omvang van God se genade. Aanvaar hierdie gawe van barmhartigheid, en streef daarna om deur die krag van die Heilige Gees die Here te dien en sy doel met jou lewe te bereik.

Almagtige Here, gee U dat die genade wat U aan my bewys nooit tevergeefs sal wees nie. Amen.

THE LAW OF MOSES AND OUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST GO HAND IN HAND. ONE CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT THE OTHER.

For you to know what sin is, you must know the Law of Moses. But the Law of Moses cannot save you. You can obey the entire Law in its entirety fully – without faith in Jesus Christ you are absolutely doomed to fall.

The same applies to your faith in Jesus Christ. If you say you believe in Jesus Christ but your actions/your works/your fruit on your tree do not reflect or prove it, it means that you are a bad tree. Your evidence of repentance is false and the spirit that lives within you is not genuinely from God. If you truly love Jesus Christ, you will obey His Words. Hear the Word of the Lord today. It is written:

LUKE 3:7-9

The people went out in great numbers to be baptized by John. He said to them: “You snakes, who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Rather, produce fruit that proves that you have repented. And do not say to yourselves: ‘We have Abraham as our forefather,’ because I tell you: God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones. The axe is already lying at the root of the trees. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”

MEANING/INTERPRETATION:

Good fruit reveals genuine repentance

FAITH GOES HAND IN HAND WITH ACTIONS AND ACTIONS GO HAND IN HAND WITH FAITH
JAMES 2:14-26

What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims that he has faith, but his actions do not confirm it? Can such faith save a person? Suppose there is a brother or a sister who does not have clothes and suffers from hunger day after day, and suppose one of you says to them: “May all go well with you; go and dress warmly and eat enough,” but you do not give them what they need to live, what good is that? The same applies to faith: if it does not result in actions, it is simply dead.

But someone may say: “One has faith and the other has actions.” Good, then show me your faith without actions, and I will show you my faith through my actions. Do you believe that there is only one God? That is right. The evil spirits believe it too – and they tremble with fear.

You foolish person, do you want proof that faith without actions is useless? Our forefather Abraham placed his son Isaac on the altar. Was it not on the basis of what he did that God justified him? You see, therefore, that his faith went hand in hand with his actions and that it was only through actions that his faith was made complete.

In this way the Scripture was fulfilled which says: “Abraham believed in God, and God justified him,” and he was called a friend of God. You see, therefore, that a person is justified on the basis of his actions and not only on the basis of his faith.

Was Rahab the pr******te not also justified on the basis of what she did when she hid the spies and helped them escape by another way? A body that does not breathe is dead. In the same way, faith that does not result in actions is also dead.

REVELATION 20:12/15 (Afrikaans 33/53 translation)

And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened; and another book, the book of life, was opened. And the dead were judged according to what was written in the books, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS/THEIR ACTIONS. Every Word has been substantiated and confirmed by the Holy Spirit. Make time for yourself. Pull the handbrake on your life. The time to repent was already yesterday. The time is now – not tomorrow. Do not postpone or put it off – tomorrow may be too late.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS

When we talk about the blood of Jesus, we are talking about the life He willingly gave for you. Scripture says that “the life of the flesh is in the blood.” Jesus did not simply give you teachings to follow or an example to admire. He gave Himself. The Son of God entered our world knowing that His mission would eventually lead Him to the cross, and He went willingly because He came to save.

Sin brought something humanity could never repair on its own. We could become more disciplined, make better decisions, and try to improve ourselves, but none of those things could remove sin. We needed something only Jesus could provide. We needed a perfect Savior who could give His life for ours.

That is why His blood matters. Scripture says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses.” Redemption means a price was paid to set someone free. Jesus did not purchase you with money. He gave something infinitely more valuable. He gave His own life.

His blood tells you how serious sin was, but it also tells you how much greater Jesus is. Sin created a debt you could never pay, so Jesus did not stand at a distance demanding payment from you. He stepped into your place. The One who owed nothing gave Himself for those who could never repay Him.

And His blood did more than cover your past. Jesus knew your entire life when He went to the cross. Every sin you would ever commit was future when He gave Himself. His sacrifice was not limited by time because the One offering Himself was the eternal Son of God. Jesus did not provide temporary forgiveness. He accomplished eternal redemption.

That word eternal matters. Jesus did not give His blood so you could be forgiven until your next mistake. He did not cleanse you halfway and leave you responsible for completing the rest. His blood accomplished what human effort never could. You can grow, mature, and learn throughout your life, but you are doing so because Jesus has already become the foundation beneath your feet.

The blood of Jesus also brought you into something. Jesus was not only rescuing you from sin. He was bringing you to the Father. Scripture says that those who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. The destination of redemption was relationship. Jesus wanted you to know His Father as your Father.

This is why you can approach God without wondering whether you belong there. You are not standing before Him because you built an impressive spiritual record. You come through Jesus. His blood is your confidence. When your performance feels strong, Jesus remains your confidence. When your performance feels weak, Jesus remains your confidence.

And His blood speaks about your value too. Scripture says you were purchased with the precious blood of Christ. Heaven did not determine your worth by looking at your accomplishments. Look at what Jesus was willing to give. He gave Himself. You may have moments when you feel insignificant, but Calvary will never allow you to believe you were cheap to redeem.

The blood also means your sin does not get the final word over your identity. Your history can speak, your memories can speak, and other people can speak, but Jesus has already spoken something greater. Redeemed. Forgiven. Cleansed. His own. Your confidence is not that you never had a past. Your confidence is that Jesus gave His blood knowing the entire story.

And then Jesus rose from the dead. That matters because the story of His blood does not end with a dead Savior hanging on a cross. Jesus is alive. The One who gave Himself for you conquered death and now lives forever. Your redemption rests on a living Savior whose victory will never expire.

So when you hear someone talk about the blood of Jesus, do not let it become another religious phrase. Think about Jesus Himself. Think about the One who knew you before you knew Him. Think about the One who willingly gave His life to redeem you, forgive you, cleanse you, and bring you to His Father.

Jesus gave His blood because nothing less could accomplish what you needed, and nothing greater could have been given. His blood was enough for your whole story. His resurrection guarantees that your hope reaches beyond this life and into eternity. You do not have to add to what He gave. You get to believe Him, receive the life He purchased, and spend eternity discovering just how magnificent Jesus has always been.

All you have to do, is be a living sacrifice for Jesus. Give up your life and follow Him.

Here, ek buig vandag voor U en verklaar dat U God is oor elke area van my lewe. Ek gee myself en my lewe aan U oor en nooi U om in elke deel van my gedagtes, siel, liggaam en gees te heers. Ek het U lief met my hele hart, siel en verstand. Ek verbind my daartoe om U met my hele wese te vertrou. Stel my in staat om myself te verloën sodat ek daagliks my kruis kan opneem en U kan volg. Ek wil U dissipel wees net soos wat U in u Woord gesê het. Ek wil my lewe in U verloor sodat ek dit kan red. In Jesus Naam. Amen.

En as julle eet en drink, doen julle dit vir julleself. Daar is mos ook nog die woorde wat Ek, die Here, deur die vroeëre profete laat aankondig het in die tyd toe Jerusalem nog bewoon en veilig was en toe die stede rondom Jerusalem en ook die Suidland en die Laeveld bewoon was. Dié woord van die Here het ook tot Sagaria gekom: So het die Here die Almagtige gesê: Laat reg geskied aan almal, bewys liefde en barmhartigheid aan mekaar; moenie die weduwee en die weeskind, die vreemdeling en die arme verdruk nie; moenie bose planne teen mekaar bedink nie. Maar die volk het geweier om daarop ag te slaan, hulle was moedswillig, hulle het hulle doof gehou, hulle het hulle soos die hardste klip gehou en wou nie luister na die wet en na die boodskap wat die Here die Almagtige deur sy Gees, deur die vroeëre profete, gestuur het nie. Daarom was die toorn van die Here die Almagtige so groot. Hy het geroep, maar hulle het nie geluister nie, en toe het die Here die Almagtige gesê: Ek sal ook nie luister as hulle roep nie,
