Gateway Family Church Gateway Family Church. Not Big, Just Great. Dr. Lourens and Aletta Toerien planted this Gateway Family Church in Pretoria over 21 years ago.

They have a strong vision to establish and build a church by God's design. Dr. Toerien finished his theology studies in 1993 at Dikaia Bible School. He is also qualified in the Advanced art of Business coaching from the North West University. In 2010 he received his Doctorates Degree in Counseling from Team Impact University.

We Believe:

We are here to deeply impact the individual, the family and the business sector with life-altering truth and support. This we do so that people’s lives can be changed from the ordinary to the exceptional, from surviving to conquering. From mere Christianity to sons and daughters of God. We are a charismatic congregation that believes in the operation of the fivefold ministry in the church. We also believe in a life applicational Christianity which means we are not busy with empty religion; we are busy establishing God’s kingdom in our own lives and in every area we have dominion over by allowing Gods Word to change us. Sometimes we look for peace in many places.

But the Bible reminds us that true peace begins with trusting God.

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” – Isaiah 26:3
