Message Title: God’s Plan
How to Differentiate the Rhema Word of God from Any Other Word
* Any word that contradicts the written Word of God is not from God.
* The Rhema Word of God aligns with your purpose, identity, and calling.
Scripture Reading
Luke 5:4
This passage is an example of fruitless labor. Peter had worked all night and caught nothing. However, one Rhema word from Jesus changed everything. The Rhema word can move you from the back to the front, from failure to success.
How God Releases a Rhema Word
1. Through Scripture.
2. Through a man or woman of God.
3. Through a spoken word.
4. Through prophecy.
5. Through the impression of the Holy Spirit.
Why We Need the Rhema Word
We need the Rhema Word of God to overcome the voices of the world because of its characteristics:
1. The Word of God never contradicts itself.
2. It stays within your calling and identity.
3. It glorifies God.
4. It produces spiritual fruit.
5. It resonates with your spirit.
6. It triggers a response of faith and obedience.
7. It requires a relationship with God.
Peter did not know that fish could be caught during the day, but through divine revelation he discovered what was possible. His encounter with Jesus transformed him, and he remained faithful to Christ.
From fruitless labor to fruitfulness.
Abraham: A Man of Faith
Genesis 12:1–3
God gave Abraham an instruction to leave his homeland without showing him the full picture immediately.
Although Abraham was told where to go, he still encountered life’s challenges, just like all of us. Yet God never left him. God was with him throughout the journey and sustained him every step of the way.
Abraham’s life demonstrates the power of a Rhema word and a close relationship with God.
Wait Upon the Lord
* Be still; the Lord is speaking.
* We must position ourselves to hear Him.
* The Lord is interested in fulfilling the promises He has made to us.
Stay in Relationship with God
A strong relationship with God helps us avoid trying to assist God in fulfilling His promises.
Sarah and Abraham attempted to help God fulfill His promise in their own way, but God’s plans do not require human intervention.
God’s Mercy and Faithfulness
Genesis 13:18
God is merciful and faithful. Despite Abraham’s mistakes, God still fulfilled His promise.
Never dictate how God should bless you. Trust His timing and His methods.
Conclusion
God will never abandon us. He created us, and He is faithful.
When the appointed time comes, God says:
“I am the Lord; in its time I will make it happen.” (Isaiah 60:22)
That prayer shall come to pass.
That promise shall come to pass.
That prophecy shall come to pass.
Remain faithful, wait upon the Lord, and trust in His perfect plan.
